How Our Stock Notifier Module Resolves These Problems

Our Stock Notifier module helps businesses automatically retain customer interest even when products are out of stock.

Whenever a product becomes unavailable on the Odoo eCommerce website:

  • Customers can click the “Notify Me” button directly from the product page.
  • Registered customers automatically get their email prefilled.
  • Customers can select preferred warehouse locations for stock notifications.
  • The system stores stock notification requests automatically.
  • Once stock becomes available, the scheduler automatically triggers email notifications.
  • Customers can directly return to the product page using the Continue Shopping button from the email.

Configuration

1: Customer Master

Customer must have registered email address, so that whenever the stock will available, the system will be able to send stock availability notification on his registered email ID

If the customer had not registered email id earlier, then from the stock notification panel, he can register his email id

2: Product Master

In Product master, under Stock Notifications tab user will have to enable option named as Enable Stock Notifications

Functionality

Step 1: In case of product stock unavailability, on E-Commerce website Odoo will ask customer to notify when the stock will be available in a particular warehouse location

Step 2: After clicking on Notify Me button, a success message will be appeared

Step 3: Stock Availibility

Stock is now available in a stock location for which a customer has enabled stock arrival notification

Step 4: Scheduled Action

When our customised Stock availability scheduler will run, then automatically a stock availability email will be sent to the customer’s registered email address

Step 5: Directly from Email by clicking on Continue Shopping button, customer will be redirected to particular product screen, from here customer will be able to proceed ahead for shopping

Stock Notification Requests

By going to Inventory-> Stock Notifications, user will be able to see which customer has raised email stock alert requests

By going to requests form view, he will be able to see

  • For which product he has generated the request?
  • Customer email ID
  • Customer name
  • Request for all warehouses or for a specific warehouse?
  • Request Date
  • Notification date

If a user wants to notify a specific customer manually then he can also send a stock notification email to him

Reporting

Users will be able to generate stock notification analysis reports by applying different parameters like customers, products, warehouses etc.
