Types of Support Covered
1. Support Block (Hours Package)
Customers buy a fixed number of hours (e.g. 20 hours). Hours decrease as support is provided. Valid until hours are exhausted or the expiry date.
2. AMC Support (Subscription Package)
Customers pay monthly or yearly. Hours reset based on the subscription period (includes support, minor developments, and training). Ideal for long-term support contracts.

Creating a contact with the type of contact type “Customer” , to see the overview of Support packages against the customer . Shows only for customer type .
Product Configuration - Support Block Product
Configure the product as
- Product Type → Service (Only applicable for service type products)
- Support category → Support block (Mandatory)
- Create an order → Project & Task (As your wish)
- Invoicing Policy → Prepaid/Fixed Price ( To track the Qty Track.)
- UOM → Based on the Product (ex., 10 hrs support product the 10-Hours for each qty define based on the company use.)
Product Configuration - AMC Support Block Product
Configure the product as
- Subscription Boolean → Must be true then only it will consider as an Subscription/Premium Product
- Product Type → Service (Only applicable for service type products)
- Support category →AMC Support block (Mandatory)
- Create an order → Project & Task (As your wish)
- Invoicing Policy → Based on Delivered Quantity (Manual)
- UOM → Based on the Product (ex., 1 Yr support product the 1 year for each qty define based on the company use.)
Sale Creation
Through sale order creation we can activate the Support . While Confirming this sale order it will get activated.
Customer Against Support Tracking
Timesheet Recording
Based on the sale order creation the Project & Task will be created in that task we can record a task.
Timesheet Recording
Need to choose the correct support type and sale order here . It will also displays the details of time spent and time remaining on SO.
