Odoo 19 Community Free Inventory

In Odoo 19, the Packaging / Barcode section is no longer visible in the product Inventory tab by default. This module restores it — allowing you to assign multiple barcodes to the same product (box barcode, carton barcode, unit barcode) without any workarounds.

The Problem

Out of the box, Odoo 19 hides the Packaging table from the product Inventory tab. Businesses that rely on packaging barcodes for warehouse scanning — such as receiving full boxes or cartons — cannot configure them through the standard UI.

The Solution

A focused XPath override that restores the packaging group inside the Inventory tab, exactly as it appeared in previous Odoo versions. No new models, no database changes — just the visibility fix you need.

How to Install

Copy the syntho_product_packaging_barcode folder to your custom addons path.

Add the path to addons_path in your odoo.conf.

Go to Settings → Apps, click Update App List, search for Syntho Product Packaging Barcode and install.

Open any product → Inventory tab — the Packaging section is now visible.

Note: This module depends on stock. The packaging data model and barcode scanning logic are provided by Odoo's standard inventory module — this module only restores the UI visibility.
