Your Whole Warehouse, at a Glance
The Hub opens on eight live KPI tiles — total stock value, products in stock, low-stock and out-of-stock alerts, incoming and outgoing today, internal pending and backorders — followed by an open-workload card for every operation type. Every tile is clickable and drills straight into the exact pickings behind the number, so a figure that looks wrong is one click from an explanation.
One Toggle, Two Views of the Same Stock
Every chart on the board flips between units and currency, independently. Ask “what moves most?” in the morning and “where is my money sitting?” in the afternoon — without leaving the page. Stock value is calculated on the same basis as Odoo's own stock valuation, so the number on the tile matches the number in your reports.
Counts, Alerts & Today's Shipments
Low-stock and out-of-stock items surface in amber and red so nothing slips past. Receipt, internal and delivery cards show what's open and how many are running late. A warehouse selector re-scopes the entire dashboard in one click — or leave it on All warehouses for the group-wide picture.
Where Your Stock Actually Sits
A live donut breaks your inventory down by product category, in units or currency, with the top categories listed and the remainder grouped automatically. The centre carries the running total, so you can see at a glance whether a single category is quietly holding most of your capital.
Top Movers & Slow Movers, Side by Side
See your fastest-shipping products ranked by units or value, and the stock that simply isn't shifting — each panel with its own independent 10 / 20 / 30 day window. Spot a slow mover that's holding real money and act on it before it quietly becomes dead stock.
Every Picking as a Card
Receipts, deliveries and internal transfers on one scrollable board. Filter by operation, by state (all open, ready, waiting, confirmed, done, cancelled) and by schedule (late, today, this week); narrow by partner or responsible person; group by operation, state, warehouse or scheduled date; and search across reference, product, contact, source document, lot/serial or responsible. Each card carries a status badge, a LATE chip, its products, the line count and a live progress bar — so an operator picks the next job without opening anything.
Scanning That Lives Where You Work
You don't need Odoo's separate Barcode app or its dedicated scanning screens. Inventory Hub puts a scan bar directly on the picking form — the real Odoo form, with all its native buttons, wizards and validations intact. The cursor parks itself in the scan field and stays there, so an operator can work through a whole trolley without ever touching the mouse. Plug in any USB or Bluetooth scanner, or simply type the code and press Enter.
It Knows Whether to Verify or to Count
The scan bar reads the picking and chooses the right behaviour on its own — there is no setting to configure and nothing for the operator to remember.
For reserved deliveries
Odoo already filled the quantities from the reservation, so counting up again would double-count. Instead each scan confirms the physical pick against demand — the operator proves what's really in the box.
For fresh receipts
Nothing is filled in yet, so each scan counts up from zero as goods come off the truck. The line total climbs in real time until it matches what was ordered.
Either way, every line shows a live scanned / demand counter with a green check when it's complete — and over-scanning a finished line is refused rather than silently accepted.
Wrong Product? It Tells You Immediately
Scan a barcode that doesn't exist and the bar turns red with “No product for …”. Scan a real product that isn't on this picking and it warns that the item doesn't belong here — instead of quietly adding it and creating a discrepancy someone has to unpick later. Codes resolve by barcode first, then by internal reference, so both work at the dock.
180 Units? Don't Scan 180 Times
Scanning one by one is perfect for a handful of items — but not for a full pallet. Click the count on any line and a clean popup lets you type the quantity straight in. It's capped at the demand, so you can never book in more than was ordered, and the line's progress and green check update instantly. Scanning and typing mix freely on the same picking.
One Tap Writes It All to Odoo
Count at your own pace, then press Save counts. The scanned totals are pushed straight onto the picking's real quantities and the form refreshes to show them. Progress is persisted, so a browser refresh, a dropped connection or a change of shift never loses the count — come back and it's exactly where you left it. Then validate with Odoo's own button, exactly as always.
Tracked Products, Captured Lot by Lot
Scan a lot-tracked or serial-tracked product and the bar asks for the lot number and a quantity. Enter 8 of LOT-A, then 2 of LOT-B — one line, split across as many lots as the delivery actually arrived in, because real pallets rarely come from a single batch. Each lot appears as a chip under the line with an × to remove one added by mistake, and lot numbers that don't exist yet are created for you.
On save, every lot becomes its own Detailed Operation line in Odoo — real lot records with real quantities, ready to validate. No exports, no manual re-entry, and no drift between what the floor scanned and what Odoo believes it has.
A Record of What Was Actually Scanned
Once a picking is done or cancelled, the scan bar and Save button disappear and the progress panel locks to read-only. What stays behind is the record: which lines were counted, how many, and exactly which lot numbers went out — visible to anyone who opens the picking weeks later.
Scan Products Onto Orders, Too
The same built-in scan bar rides on draft quotations and RFQs. Scan a barcode and the product is added as an order line at its normal price — pricelist for sales, supplier price for purchase — with description, taxes and unit of measure computed by Odoo exactly as if you'd typed it by hand. Scan the same product again and the quantity simply goes up.
It appears only on drafts, where adding lines is safe — and if the order hasn't been saved yet, the very first scan saves it for you and carries straight on. Confirmed orders are left untouched.
Managers Analyse. Operators Execute.
Two access levels, built on top of Odoo's own Inventory rights. Hub Managers get the analytics dashboard and everything else. Hub Users land straight on a focused All Pickings working view with scanning — no dashboard, no distractions, just the queue. The restriction is enforced server-side rather than merely hidden in the interface, and because every action still runs through Odoo's real forms, your existing permissions always apply on top.
