v19.0.1.0.0POS Customer Access
Control which customers each POS user or cashier can see. Restrict access by salesperson assignment or dedicated cashier mapping.
Why You Need This Module
In many businesses, each salesperson or cashier manages their own set of customers. Standard Odoo POS shows all customers to everyone:
Data Privacy
Prevent cashiers from seeing customers they don't manage. Each user sees only their own assigned customers in POS.
Faster Lookup
With fewer customers in the list, POS users find the right customer faster. No more scrolling through thousands of records.
Flexible Modes
Choose between Salesperson mode (existing field) or Cashier mode (dedicated assignment). One mode active at a time.
Key Features
Powerful customer access control for your Point of Sale
Salesperson Mode
Uses the existing Salesperson field on the customer. No extra configuration needed — just enable and go.
Cashier Mode
Uses a dedicated POS Cashiers Many2many field. Assign multiple cashiers to each customer independently from the salesperson.
Per-POS Configuration
Enable or disable the filter on each POS configuration separately. Different shops can use different modes.
How It Works
Simple 3-step setup — start filtering in seconds
Enable the Filter
Go to your POS Configuration, check Enable Customer Filter and select your preferred mode.
Assign Customers
In Salesperson mode, set the Salesperson field. In Cashier mode, use the new POS Cashiers field on each customer.
Open POS & See Results
Open the Point of Sale — each user now sees only their assigned customers. Fast, secure, and simple.
See It In Action
A quick glance at the POS screen with activated filter.
1. Enable POS Config
2. Assign Customers (Cashier Mode)
3. Filtered Customers in POS
