ShipStation Connector | v1 Legacy & v2 / ShipEngine
A two-way ShipStation integration for Odoo 19. Import stores, carriers, ship-from locations, customers and orders into Odoo, and push shipments, rates, labels and tracking back to ShipStation. Choose the API on each instance: the legacy v1 order-management API (API Key + Secret) or the newer v2 / ShipEngine shipping API (a single API-Key; sandbox keys start with TEST_). Works on Community and Enterprise.
Dual API — ShipStation v1 (Legacy) & v2 / ShipEngine
Pick the API version per instance. v1 (ssapi.shipstation.com) uses API Key + Secret and covers the full order-management flow. v2 / ShipEngine (api.shipengine.com) uses a single API-Key for carriers, rates, labels and tracking. Built for Odoo 19 Community and Enterprise.
Import Everything from ShipStation
One-click or scheduled import of stores, carriers (with their services and packages), ship-from locations, customers and orders. ShipStation orders become native Odoo sale orders with customers, shipping/billing addresses and products auto-mapped (unknown SKUs can be created automatically).
Rate, Label & Track from the Delivery
On any outgoing transfer, rate-shop across carriers, buy a shipping label (the PDF and tracking number are attached automatically) and void it when needed. Push Odoo orders and product updates back to ShipStation, and mark imported orders shipped on delivery validation.
Configure a ShipStation Instance (API v1)
Create an instance under ShipStation → Instances, choose the API Version ShipStation v1 (Legacy), and paste your API Key and API Secret from the ShipStation account. Set the default warehouse and options, then use the action buttons to test and import.
Verify Credentials with Test Connection
Click Test Connection to validate your credentials against ShipStation. A success notification confirms the instance is ready to sync.
One-Click Imports
Import each entity on demand with the dedicated buttons — Import Stores, Import Carriers, Import Ship-From and Import Orders — or run them all together from the sync wizard.
Run Sync in One Place
The Run Sync… button opens a single wizard to import several entities at once. The Orders smart button shows how many ShipStation orders are linked to the instance.
Choose What to Sync
Tick the entities to import — Stores, Carriers, Ship-From Locations, Customers, Orders — and optionally force a full re-sync that ignores the last-imported watermark. A summary reports listed, created, updated and skipped counts.
Full Sync Log in the Chatter
Every sync posts a detailed breakdown to the instance chatter, with per-entity listed/created/updated/skipped counts, giving you a clear audit trail of each run.
Imported Stores & Master Data
Imported stores appear on the instance with per-store warehouse and sales-team overrides. The Sync State and Master Data sections summarise counts and the last import timestamps.
Carriers, Services & Packages
Imported carriers (FedEx, Stamps.com, UPS…) come with their carrier codes, account numbers and primary flag — and each carrier's shipping services and package types are synced too, ready for rating and labels.
Ship-From Locations Mapped to Odoo Warehouses
ShipStation ship-from locations (warehouses) are imported with their origin address and can be mapped to an Odoo warehouse, so exported orders and labels ship from the right location.
Dedicated Configuration Menus
Browse the imported master data any time from ShipStation → Configuration — Stores, Carriers and Ship-From Locations each have their own list and form views.
Jump Straight to Imported Orders
The Orders smart button on the instance opens all sale orders that originated from this ShipStation account.
ShipStation Orders as Native Sale Orders
Imported orders become standard Odoo sale orders — with customer, salesperson, totals and invoicing status — so they flow through your normal sales, inventory and accounting processes.
Export Odoo Orders to ShipStation
Push an Odoo-native order the other way with Export to ShipStation. The customer and products in the payload are created on ShipStation's side, so it doubles as customer/product sync.
ShipStation Details on the Sale Order
A dedicated ShipStation tab shows the linked instance, ShipStation order id, status and last-sync time, and the chatter records the export — keeping Odoo and ShipStation in step.
Update Products in ShipStation
From a product, Update in ShipStation pushes its name, price, cost and weight to the matching SKU in ShipStation.
Product Ready to Sync
The product's internal reference (SKU) is what ShipStation matches on, so keep it set. The Update in ShipStation button is available right from the product form.
Product Update Confirmed
A notification confirms how many products were updated in ShipStation, so pricing and dimensions stay consistent across both systems.
Shipping Actions on the Delivery
Every outgoing transfer gains a ShipStation tab and the Get Rates and Create Label buttons, where you pick the carrier, service and package to ship with.
Compare Rates and Pick a Service
The Rates wizard lists every available service and cost (UPS Ground, 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air, Next Day Air…). Select the one you want and it is applied to the delivery for labelling.
Buy the Label
Click Create Label to purchase the shipping label for the selected carrier and service directly from the delivery.
Configure a v2 / ShipEngine Instance
Switch API Version to ShipStation v2 / ShipEngine and paste a single API-Key (sandbox keys start with TEST_) — no secret needed. The form adapts to show only the shipping-focused actions the v2 API supports.
Test the ShipEngine Connection
The same Test Connection button validates the v2 API-Key against ShipEngine and confirms success.
Import v2 Carriers in One Call
Import Carriers pulls every ShipEngine carrier — along with its services and package types — in a single request, and reports the counts.
ShipEngine Carriers & Balances
The imported v2 carriers (DHL Express, FedEx, Stamps.com, UPS…) are listed with their account numbers and balances, ready for rate-shopping and labels.
Rate-Shop on the Delivery (v2)
On a v2 delivery, pick the carrier, service and package and click Get Rates to fetch live rates from ShipEngine.
Label, Tracking & PDF Attached
After purchase, the tracking number and label cost are saved on the transfer and the label PDF is attached in the chatter — and a Void Label button appears in case you need to cancel it.
Label Result & Void
The Result panel keeps the tracking reference, shipment id, label cost and a voided flag. Voiding a label requests a refund from the carrier and marks it voided in Odoo.
Releases
Initial release of the ShipStation Connector for Odoo 19. Supports both the legacy ShipStation v1 API (API Key + Secret) and the v2 / ShipEngine API (single API-Key): import stores, carriers, ship-from locations, customers and orders; export orders and product updates; and rate, label, track and void shipments from the delivery. Compatible with Community and Enterprise.
