Odoo Multi-Vendor Marketplace: FAQ
Do sellers need backend (internal user) access?
No. Sellers work entirely from the website seller portal as portal users â dashboard, products, orders, payouts and shop profile. Only the marketplace owner uses the Odoo backend.
How do commissions and payouts work?
You set a global or per-seller commission percentage. Each confirmed order line automatically splits into your commission and the seller's earnings. Sellers request payouts, and each approved payout generates a posted vendor bill in Odoo Accounting.
Can I approve sellers and products automatically?
Yes. Seller and product approval can each run in manual mode (you review) or automatic mode (instant), configurable in settings.
Does it work with Community and Enterprise?
Yes â Odoo 19 Community, Enterprise and Odoo.sh. It builds on the standard Website, eCommerce, Sales, Inventory and Accounting apps.
