Stock Package Weight & Volume
Automated weight and volume calculations for Stock Packages — bulk content weight, container tare weight from Package Type, total package weight/volume, and Lot-specific weight compatibility.
Key Features & Benefits
Bulk Weight & Volume
Automatically sums up the weights and volumes of all products stored inside the package from stock quants.
Tare Weight Integration
Fetches the empty container weight (tare) directly from the Package Type's base weight — no manual entry needed.
Total Package Weight
Live-computes the final total weight (Bulk + Tare) and total volume with real-time updates as quants change.
Lot Weight Compatibility
If the Lot Weight module is installed, uses lot-specific weights instead of product-level weights for precision.
Why Use This App?
Standard Odoo packages only track a flat shipping weight field. Warehouses handling pallets, containers, or mixed-product packages need to know exactly how much the contents weigh (bulk), how much the container weighs (tare), and the combined total — all computed automatically from the quants inside the package.

1. Package Type Configuration (Container Tare Weight)
Define the base tare weight of the box or pallet container on the Package Type configuration view.
2. Stock Package Form View (Logistics Calculations)
View package content bulk weight, tare weight fetched from Package Type, and the computed total weight directly on the physical package form.
