Setup & Configuration
Step 1: Install TimeOffice Device Integration Apps
Go to the Apps menu in Odoo and install the TimeOffice Device Integration app. After installation, a new Biometric Attendance menu appears in the main menu.
Step 2: Create Devices to Fetch Attendance Logs
Go to the Biometric Attendance menu and create new
device records by entering:
• IP Address
• Port
• Device ID
• Authentication Credentials
Click Test Connection to ensure the device is properly connected.
Step 3: Map Employees Using Employee ID
Go to the Employee Form. Under Settings,
you will find a new field called Employee ID.
Enter the exact Employee ID configured in your device to properly
map attendance logs.
Step 4: Configure Automatic Scheduled Sync Jobs
Navigate to:
Settings → Technical → Scheduled Actions
Find the Sync All Devices action and configure the
frequency as per your company requirement.
The system will automatically fetch attendance data and create
attendance records.
Step 5: Result and Validation
Based on the configured frequency:
• Logs are fetched from connected devices
• Logs appear under Attendance Logs
• Draft attendance entries are automatically approved
• Attendance records are created in the core Attendance model

📂 Step 1: Copy Hexahash Module
Copy the Hexahash folder into your Odoo custom addons path.

Activate Developer Mode in Odoo to allow installation of custom modules.

Go to Apps → Click Update Apps List → Search for TimeOffice Device Integration → Click Install.
🔄 Step 4: Restart Odoo Service
Restart your Odoo service to ensure proper module loading.
🕒 Step 5: Configure Device Settings
Navigate to TimeOffice Integration menu → Configure device IP, Port, and Machine ID → Start synchronization.
Troubleshooting Guide
Device Connection Failed
Solution: Verify that the device IP address is correct and accessible. Check network connectivity and firewall rules. Ensure device authentication credentials are properly configured in TimeOffice settings.
Attendance Data Not Syncing
Solution: Check biometric.device.log for error messages. Verify employee mappings exist. Restart the scheduled action and review logs. Ensure the device contains attendance records ready for synchronization.
Duplicate Attendance Records
Solution: Review biometric.attendance.draft records. Check employee mappings for duplicate IDs. Manually verify and remove duplicates, then adjust synchronization filters accordingly.
API Connection Error
Solution: Verify device API credentials and permissions. Review the TimeOffice API documentation in device settings. Check device.log for specific error codes and contact device support if needed.
