Performance Management System
This module helps us to manage employee performance in Odoo with a structured Performance Management System (PMS). It allows organizations to define KRAs (Key Result Areas) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for employees, evaluate them based on predefined frequencies and weightages, and record achievements in a systematic way.
Access Control Configuration
After successfully installing the PMS module, go to:
Settings -> Users & Companies -> Users -> [Select a User] -> Access Rights tab -> Performance Management System
Here you can assign the appropriate user category (access rights) for PMS.
Assign PMS Responsible
On the Employee form, under the Work Information tab, there is a field to set the Current Employee Responsible. This determines the person who will be responsible for creating and managing the KRAs for that employee in the PMS.
Performance Dashboard

Administrators have access to view performance records of all employees across the organization. PMS Responsibles can view and manage performance records for themselves and their assigned team members only.
Every employee has access to a My Performance Evaluation Dashboard, which provides a personalized view of their evaluations, achievements, and overall performance status.
KRA Creation
Once access rights are set, proceed to create the KRA (Key Result Areas) for employees from the PMS menu.
While creating a KRA, you can set the Employee, Responsible, Type, Frequency, KPIs, and Description. Each KPI can have a weightage, and the total of all KPI weightages is reflected as the overall KRA Weightage.
KPI View
In the KPI view, records are by default grouped by Employee -> KRA, making it easier
to track KPIs under each employee and their respective KRAs.
Performing Evaluation
During evaluation, the assigned KPIs for the selected employee are auto-populated. The evaluator can then enter the achieved score for each KPI, based on overall performance.
If the achieved score entered for any KPI exceeds its assigned weightage, a validation message will be displayed to alert the evaluator.
Self Evaluation
To enable Self Evaluation, go to Configuration -> Settings and activate the
Self Evaluation option. Once enabled, employees can access their evaluation form
and submit their own evaluation.
When Self Mode is enabled:
- Employees cannot submit evaluations in Responsible Mode.
- Responsible users cannot submit Self Evaluations on behalf of employees.
Employee Access to KRAs/KPIs
Employees can view their assigned KRAs and KPIs directly from their User form. A smart button is available, giving quick access to all KRAs/KPIs linked to the employee.
