Key benefits
Stop refunding through the Stripe dashboard
Every refund handled here stays in sync with your accounting — automatically.
One button on the invoice
A "Stripe Refund" button appears right in the invoice's action bar — no separate app, no dashboard login.
Full or partial amounts
Refund the whole invoice or just part of it — the wizard automatically caps the amount at what's still refundable.
Credit note created for you
Optionally auto-generate the matching customer credit note — your books stay correct without manual entry.
Real Stripe API refund
The refund is actually sent to Stripe — not just recorded internally — so the customer's card is genuinely credited.
Full audit trail
The refund transaction and credit note are logged on the invoice's chatter — always clear who refunded what and when.
Only valid transactions selectable
The wizard only lists confirmed Stripe transactions linked to that invoice — no risk of refunding the wrong payment.
Features
Everything included in one module
Refund wizard, credit note automation, and full traceability — all included.
How it works
From invoice to refunded card in three steps
No external tools, no dashboard switching — everything runs inside Odoo.
Click Stripe Refund
Open the posted customer invoice paid via Stripe and click the Stripe Refund button in the action bar.
Choose the amount
Pick the linked Stripe transaction, adjust the refund amount if it's partial, and leave "Create Credit Note" checked.
Submit and done
The refund is sent to Stripe, the credit note is posted, and both are logged on the invoice — instantly.

Why buyers choose it
Refunds that don't create bookkeeping problems.
Refunding through the Stripe dashboard directly is fast, but it leaves your Odoo accounting out of sync — no credit note, no invoice trail, a reconciliation headache waiting to happen. This module keeps the refund and the credit note together, in one action, in the system your books actually live in.
Good fit for any store processing Stripe payments through Odoo's website checkout that occasionally needs to issue full or partial refunds.
Every refund is validated against what's actually still refundable, so you can't accidentally over-refund a transaction.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Yes. The refund request is sent directly to Stripe's API — it's a real refund, not just an internal Odoo record.
Yes. Set any amount up to the remaining refundable balance on that transaction — the wizard blocks amounts higher than what's actually available.
No, it's optional and on by default — the module creates and posts the matching customer credit note for you.
The error is logged on the invoice and any draft credit note created for that attempt is rolled back — you won't be left with an orphaned credit note.
You can contact the developer directly for setup support or customization requests — a real person, not a queue.
