Streamline Your Quotation Process
Stop manually calculating installation costs and labor charges. The Installation & Service Estimator automatically analyzes your quotation lines and proposes the correct installation services based on your custom rules.
Key Features
Smart Pricing Rules
Define rules based on trigger products. When a specific product is added to a quote, the system automatically suggests the corresponding installation service.
Flexible Insertion Modes
Choose between inserting a single consolidated line for the total amount or detailed individual lines for each calculated service.
Margin Management
Easily apply a percentage margin to your estimated costs. See the margin amount and total instantly before inserting into the quote.
Installation History
Every estimation is saved! Access the "Installation History" tab on Sale Orders to see exactly what was calculated and when.
Custom Pricing Mode
Need a one-off estimate? Switch to Custom Mode to select any service product and set a manual price while still benefiting from margin calculations.
Multi-Company Ready
Fully supports Odoo's multi-company environment. Rules and history are isolated per company for accurate accounting and data security.
Detailed Instructions
Configuration
Setup your pricing rules before starting:
- Go to Sales > Configuration > Installation Pricing Rules.
- Link Trigger Products to specific Service Items.
- Choose a Quantity Method (Fixed or based on Product Quantity).
Using the Estimator
- On a Sale Order, click the Add Installation button.
- Review automatically matched rules or switch to Custom Pricing.
- Add a Margin % if needed to markup your services.
- Select Detailed or Consolidated insertion mode.
How It Works
- Configure Rules: Set up "Installation Pricing Rules" linking your products to specific service items and quantity methods.
- Create Quotation: Add your products to a Sale Order as usual.
- Launch Wizard: Click "Add Installation" to open the estimator. It automatically fetches the relevant rules.
- Adjust & Insert: Tweak quantities, apply margins, add internal notes, and click "Insert to Quotation".
