1. App Dashboard Activation
Easily find and activate the "Chatter Message Pin/Favorite" module from Odoo's backend apps list.
2. Pin Action in Message Menu
Hover over any message in the chatter and click the custom "Pin" action in the menu to pin the message.

How It Works
This module extends Odoo's default chatter. It registers a custom "Pin" action in the message hover menu. When a message is pinned, it is saved persistently on the server and immediately displayed in a dedicated, collapsible section at the top of the chatter thread. Users can hover over any pinned message in the top section and click "Jump" to automatically scroll to and highlight that message in the main thread history.
Configuration Steps
- Copy the module into your custom addons path.
- Restart the Odoo server.
- Update the apps list.
- Install Chatter Message Pin/Favorite.
- Open any record view and start pinning important messages in the chatter.
