Assign multiple alternate barcodes to both Product Templates and Product Variants from a dedicated Barcodes tab. Users can conveniently add, edit, or remove barcodes through an inline editable list without leaving the product form. This makes it easy to manage supplier barcodes, customer-specific barcodes, packaging barcodes, and regional product codes.

Automatically keeps barcode information synchronized between the Product Template and its Product Variants. Any barcode added or updated from either form is immediately reflected on the other, ensuring users always work with the same barcode data and eliminating duplicate maintenance.

A Multi Barcode search field is added to both the Product Template and Product Variant search views. Users can quickly locate products by entering or scanning any configured alternate barcode, making product lookup significantly faster during warehouse operations and day-to-day inventory management.

When creating Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Inventory Transfers, Manufacturing Orders, or Customer Invoices, users can simply enter or scan any configured multi barcode in the product field. The system automatically identifies the matching product and displays it as a suggestion, providing a faster and more accurate product selection experience.

A dedicated configuration option is available under General Settings to control barcode uniqueness. When "Is Multi Barcode Unique?" is enabled, Odoo prevents duplicate barcode assignments across all products and displays a clear validation message whenever a duplicate barcode is entered.

The uniqueness validation checks every barcode stored in Product Multi Barcode, Product Variant, and Product Template records. This comprehensive validation prevents barcode conflicts across the entire database and ensures each barcode uniquely identifies a single product throughout your business processes.
