How It Works

A simple, step-by-step workflow from configuration to quotation.

STEP 1

Configure Settings

Navigate to Website â Settings and find the Price Inquiry Settings section. Choose from:

Enable Individually â activate per product
Public Only â show only to guest users
Generate CRM Lead â auto-create leads

STEP 2

Enable on Product

Open any product form and scroll to the Price Inquiry Settings section. Check "Enable Price Inquiry" to replace the standard price with a request button on the website.

STEP 3

Shop Page Display

On the website shop page, enabled products show a "Price on Request" badge instead of the regular price. Customers can instantly see which products require a price inquiry.

STEP 4

Request Price Button

On the product detail page, a prominent "REQUEST PRICE" button replaces the standard "Add to Cart". Customers click it to open the price inquiry form â clean, professional, and unmissable.

An elegant modal popup collects all the essential details:

Backend Management

Manage all price inquiries from the Odoo backend with a powerful, intuitive interface.

STEP 6

Access Inquiries

Find all submitted inquiries under Website â eCommerce â Price Inquiry Requests. A dedicated menu item provides quick access to all pending and processed requests.

STEP 7

Review Inquiry Details

Each inquiry shows complete product and customer information. Use the status bar (New â Contacted â Quoted) to track progress. Click "Process Inquiry" to convert it into a quotation, or "Mark as Contacted" to update the status.

Process & Create Quotation

The Process Inquiry wizard pre-fills customer, product, price, and quantity. Simply set the price, toggle "Send Quotation by Email", and click "Create Sale Order" to generate the quotation instantly.

STEP 9

Quotation Ready!

A complete Sale Order is generated with all product details, pricing, and taxes. The quotation is linked back to the original inquiry via a smart button and breadcrumb trail. Email notification is sent automatically if enabled.

Automatically generate CRM leads from price inquiries and track the entire sales pipeline.

STEP 10

Enable CRM Lead Generation

In Website â Settings, check the "Generate CRM Lead" option. When enabled, every price inquiry submission will automatically create a new lead in your CRM pipeline â no manual entry required.

Smart Button Navigation

Each processed inquiry displays smart buttons linking to the related CRM Lead and Sale Orders. Navigate between inquiry, lead, and quotation with a single click â everything stays connected.

STEP 12

Auto-Generated CRM Lead

The CRM lead is pre-filled with all customer and product details from the inquiry. It includes expected revenue, contact info, and an "Origin Inquiry" smart button for quick back-navigation to the original request.

STEP 13

CRM Pipeline View

Price inquiry leads appear directly in your CRM Pipeline kanban view alongside other opportunities. Track them through stages (New â Qualified â Proposition â Won) just like any other sales lead.

Public User Mode

Control pricing visibility based on user type â perfect for B2B strategies.

Public Only Setting - Enable Individually and Public Only

STEP 14

Enable Public Only Mode

Check "Public Only" in the settings to show price inquiry buttons only to guest visitors. Logged-in users will continue to see standard prices and the normal "Add to Cart" button â ideal for B2B pricing strategies.

STEP 15

Guest User Experience

When a guest visitor browses the shop, all enabled products display the "Price on Request" button instead of prices. This encourages visitors to engage with your sales team and protects your pricing strategy from public view.
