One Year-End Close record per company per fiscal year drives a categorized task checklist (accounting, AP/1099, payroll/W-2, tax worksheets) and a live readiness panel that scores exactly how ready you are to file. The 1099 workbench flags every W-9 gap, decides which payees actually cross the reporting threshold, computes required backup withholding and totals each 1099 box. The W-2 workbench flags missing SSNs and addresses and checks wages against the Social Security wage base. The tie-out engine reconciles payroll totals to the W-2 run and AP totals to the 1099 run and tells you, to the penny, where they disagree. A worksheet tracker shows the filing status and due date of every year-end form. Nothing is faked and every readiness number traces back to the records that produced it.
