Suppose you have stored a payment token for a customer and you want to ensure that this payment token is valid before performing a certain operation for that customer.
Basically, there is no way to fully determine whether a payment token is valid or not. Even the payment provider cannot guarantee this, because it also depends on the bank that issued the card.
This app will allow you to verify the customerâs payment token by creating a payment transaction with a small amount (around $0.50). If the payment transaction is successfully confirmed, Odoo will automatically trigger a refund to the customer.
1. Configuration.
- Goto Access Right to enable "Allow verifying the payment token" option
2. Generate Payment Token Link.
- After enable "Allow verifying the payment token" option. Goto to payment token form view
- Click on the "Verify Payment Token" button. A popup will be shown.
- Click on the "Check Token" button to verify.
- You will see a result message on the payment token form view.
- You can link to the checking transaction
- If the transaction is confirmed successfully, Odoo will automatically trigger a refund. This is refund transaction
- This app works well with all payment providers that support saving payment tokens, such as Stripe, Authorize.Net, etc.
