Warehouse Transfer Request
Controlled, vehicle-aware stock transfers between warehouses—from request and approval to receipt and mismatch return.
A complete transfer control flow
Choose direction, warehouses, products, and quantities
Responsible users review and reserve available stock
Select a vehicle and move stock into vehicle transit
Destination users record the quantity actually received
Short quantities return automatically to the source
Built for accountable warehouse operations
Responsibility-based approvals
Assign responsible users to every warehouse. Request, approval, and completion permissions follow the selected transfer direction and warehouse responsibility.
Real stock movements
Creates linked reservation, vehicle-loading, receipt, and mismatch-return pickings so every physical step remains visible in Odoo Inventory.
Vehicle transit tracking
Each fleet vehicle receives its own transit location, giving in-transit stock a clear and auditable place between warehouses.
Mismatch handling
Record actual received quantities at destination. Any shortage is calculated per product and moved from the vehicle back to the original warehouse.
Activities and chatter
Approval activities are scheduled for responsible users, stakeholders are notified, and key workflow events stay in the request chatter.
Operational reporting
Use kanban progress, list totals, filters, grouping, graph, and pivot views to monitor running, completed, and mismatched transfers.
