Odoo Development
Stock Per Warehouse
- • This module shows how much of a product sits in each warehouse, right on the website product page. The shopper clicks "Check Availability in Store" and the stock per warehouse opens up below the button.
- • Show the On-hand quantity or the Forecasted quantity, whichever you prefer. You choose once per website in the Inventory settings, so every product follows the same rule.
- • Decide who gets to see the stock. Public Users, Portal Users only, or Hidden. Set the default for the whole website, then override it on a single product when you need to.
- • Want the exact number, or just an In stock / Out of stock line? Flip the Show Quantity switch. Your team reads the same breakdown from the Warehouse Stocks tab on the product form.
Features
1) Install the Module
Open the Odoo Apps menu,
search for Stock Per Warehouse
and click Activate. It needs the Inventory and eCommerce apps.
2) Go to Settings → Inventory → Warehouse Stock Configuration. Pick the website, choose On-hand or Forecasted quantity, set the default Stock Visibility, turn on Show Quantity if you want the number, then Save.
3) Need a single product to behave differently? Open the product, go to the eCommerce section and set its Stock Visibility. Leave it on Use Website Setting to follow the default, or pick another value to override it for that product.
4) Open the Warehouse Stocks tab on the product form. It lists every warehouse with the on-hand, forecasted, incoming and outgoing quantity, so the back office sees what the website shows.
5) Now open the product on the website. The Check Availability in Store button shows under Add to cart, as long as the visitor is allowed to see the stock.
6) Click the button. The stock for each warehouse opens below it, with a green or red mark and either the quantity or an In stock / Out of stock line, depending on your Show Quantity setting.
It puts a Check Availability in Store button on the website product page. The shopper clicks it and sees how much of that product is in each of your warehouses, so they know the stock before they order.
In Settings, under Inventory, look for the Warehouse Stock Configuration block. You pick the website, the quantity type, the default visibility and the show quantity switch there. Each website is configured on its own.
On-hand is the stock physically in the warehouse right now. Forecasted also counts what's still expected to arrive, so the two can differ when you have purchases or transfers on the way. You choose which one the website shows.
Yes. Stock Visibility has three options. Public Users shows it to everyone, Portal Users shows it only to people who have logged in, and Hidden turns the button off. The button never appears for a visitor who isn't allowed to see it.
It can. Every product has its own Stock Visibility field in the eCommerce section. Leave it on Use Website Setting to follow the default, or set a value to override it. The product's own value always wins, so you can show stock on one item even when the site default hides it.
Yes. The list shows every warehouse, and the same breakdown is on the Warehouse Stocks tab in the back office. It runs on both Community and Enterprise and depends only on the standard Inventory and eCommerce apps.
