Custom Checkout Field for Odoo helps businesses collect additional customer information during the checkout process. Create custom checkout fields and display them on Cart, Address, Shipping, and Payment steps. Configure field validations, conditional rules, dependent fields, customer-specific rules, country-based rules, product-based rules, payment method conditions, shipping method conditions, and more. Store all submitted information in Sales Orders, Delivery Slips, Invoices, Customer Portal, and Emails. This module provides a flexible way to customize the checkout experience according to business needs. It helps collect accurate customer information, streamline order processing, and improve the overall shopping experience for online customers.

Custom Checkout Fields:

Custom Checkout Field Workflow
- Enable the Custom Checkout Field feature from Website Settings.
- Configure where submitted checkout information should be displayed, such as Sales Orders, Invoices, Delivery Slips, Customer Portal, and Emails.
- Navigate to Website -> Configuration -> Custom Checkout -> Fields and create custom checkout fields.
- Select the required Field Type and configure validations, placeholders, file restrictions, or rating settings as needed.
- Configure Dependent Fields to display additional fields based on selected Parent Field values.
- Create a Checkout Rule and select the appropriate Checkout Step (Cart, Address, Shipping, or Payment).
- Add the required custom fields to the rule and configure the display priority.
- Apply conditional rules based on Customers, Countries, Products, Categories, Websites, Order Amounts, Customer Tags, First Orders, or Date Ranges.
- Configure Shipping Method and Payment Method conditions to display fields only for selected delivery methods or payment providers.
- Publish the rule and allow customers to submit custom information during checkout, which is automatically stored and displayed throughout the Odoo order workflow.

Enable Custom Checkout Configuration
Enable the Custom Checkout Field feature to manage checkout Fields and Rules and configure where submitted checkout information is displayed across Odoo documents and customer communications.
Create Custom Checkout Fields
Create and manage custom checkout fields by defining the Field Name, selecting the required Field Type, and configuring field options such as Placeholder and Required settings.
Configure Text Validation
Apply Text Validation rules such as Email, Alphabet, or Alphanumeric to ensure accurate customer input.
Select Field Type
Choose the appropriate Field Type based on the information you want to collect during the checkout process.
