Nexi Payment Provider Workflow

  • Navigate to Website -> Configuration -> Payment Providers and select the Nexi payment provider.
  • Open the Nexi provider and configure the required API credentials.
  • Enable Nexi in Payment Methods to make it available at checkout.
  • From the frontend, select a product and proceed to checkout.
  • Enter delivery details and choose Nexi as the payment method.
  • Accept the terms and conditions and click Pay to proceed.
  • On the Nexi page, enter card details and click Approve Payment.
  • After successful payment, the system updates the sales order and records the transaction.
  • Generate the invoice manually from the sales order as per the workflow.
  • Transaction details and payment status can be viewed in Odoo and verified on the Nexi platform.

Nexi Payment Provider Visibility in Configuration

Here we can see the Nexi payment provider listed under Website -> Configuration -> Payment Providers.

Nexi Payment Provider API Configuration

When we open the Nexi payment provider, we can enter and configure the required API credentials to establish a secure connection between Odoo and the Nexi payment gateway.

Enable Nexi Payment Method

Go to Payment Methods and enable the Nexi option in settings to make it available at checkout.

From the frontend, after selecting a product and proceeding to checkout, choose Nexi as the payment method to complete the transaction.

Checkout Payment Process

Upon clicking Pay, the checkout page opens where the user must enter delivery details and select the preferred payment method. After accepting the terms and conditions, click the Pay button to proceed with the transaction.

Next, click on "Approve Payment" to complete the transaction successfully.

Here we can see that the payment has been successfully completed on the Nexi portal.

In the Sales Order, we can see that the order has been successfully created.

The invoice has been successfully created based on the sales order.

Payment Transaction Details

In Payment Transactions, a new field has been added in the dropdown section where we can view the Nexi transaction details.

Nexi Charged Transactions View

In the Nexi platform, navigate to Payments and select the Charged tab to view successfully charged transactions, including system-created orders.

Refund Initiation

In invoicing, click on the "Refund" button to start the refund process.

Refund Wizard Processing

After clicking Refund, a wizard opens showing transaction details. Click the Refund button to complete the process.

Refund Record in Payment Transactions

Go to Website Configuration -> Payment Transactions. The refund transaction will appear in the list, and opening it will show Nexi refund details in the dropdown.

After processing the refund, navigate to Sales -> Configuration -> Payment Transactions. Open the record to view Nexi refund details.

Create Sales Order & Payment Link

Create a new sales order, then go to the Action menu and select "Generate a Payment Link". A wizard opens to generate and copy the payment link.

Complete Payment via Link

Open the copied link in a new tab. The payment page will appear where Nexi can be selected as the payment method to complete the transaction.
