Show visitors a Coming Soon, Maintenance or Under Construction page — in one click, per website, straight from your Website settings.
Three ways to pause your website
Build anticipation before the launch
Your website isn't ready to be shown yet? Every address of the site — the homepage, deep links, everything — shows a friendly teaser page with a live countdown to your launch. Set the "Until" date in the settings and the countdown follows it automatically; when the date passes, the website goes live by itself.
Search engines are politely told not to index anything yet, so no half-finished page ever shows up in results. A discreet sign-in link takes your Odoo users to the real website.
Take a break without losing rankings
Upgrading Odoo, deploying changes, migrating data? Visitors see a calm maintenance page while you work. Behind the scenes the site answers with HTTP 503 and a Retry-After header — exactly what Google recommends for short downtime, so a maintenance window never hurts your SEO.
Plan it ahead with the From / Until schedule: the website takes itself down, tells crawlers when to come back, and returns to Live on its own — even if the maintenance runs while you sleep.
Keep the whole website private
For staging servers, redesigns and not-yet-launched environments. The entire website disappears from public view — every page, even published pages, products and their images — and visitors get a polite "under construction" page with a sign-in button instead.
Need exceptions? Invite selected portal customers to test the real site, allow your office network by IP without a login, and keep chosen addresses — like payment confirmations — always reachable.
Set up in a minute
1. Install the app. Nothing changes yet — your website stays live.
2. Open Website → Configuration → Settings and find the Availability section.
3. Pick a mode — optionally set From / Until dates so it turns itself on and off.
4. Use the Customize link to open the page in the website editor and make it yours.
5. Save. Switch back to Live whenever you're ready.
Make the pages your own
All three pages are normal website pages. Open them in the website editor — drag in building blocks, change the words, add your logo and imagery. They automatically follow your theme, fonts and colors, so they always look like your website.
Your edits are kept when the app is updated.
Visitors wait. Your Odoo users don't.
Anyone who signs in with an Odoo internal user account — you, your colleagues, your web agency — keeps browsing and editing the real website as if nothing happened. A discreet reminder at the bottom of the screen shows which mode is active, so nobody forgets the site is paused for the public.
Want to double-check what visitors get? Add ?wam_preview=1 to any address and see the website through a visitor's eyes.
Correct signals out of the box: maintenance answers with the status code Google recommends for short downtime, gated pages are kept out of search results, and the moment you switch back to Live, visitors see your real website again — instantly.
