EU-compliant online withdrawal function for Odoo webshops
Mandatory from 19 June 2026
From 19 June 2026, EU webshops must provide an electronic withdrawal function directly on the website — EU Directive 2023/2673 (Art. 11a) and § 356a BGB (Germany). This module makes your Odoo shop compliant in minutes, before the deadline.
One-click withdrawal, right in your shop
Customers withdraw their contract directly on your website — no letter, no PDF form. A clear two-step process (enter details → review and confirm) prevents errors and makes the declaration unambiguous.

Step 2: Conscious confirmation with optional reason.
Works for everyone, including guests
A withdrawal button appears in the website footer for every visitor, plus on the order list and order detail pages. Guest buyers without an account can withdraw too.
Automatic receipt confirmation by email
Every withdrawal triggers a legally required receipt confirmation on a durable medium. A built-in legal disclaimer makes clear that confirming receipt is not an acknowledgement of the withdrawal's validity (§ 356a BGB) — protecting you from premature legal commitments.
Audit-proof back-office management
Manage all withdrawals centrally with a status workflow and a complete audit log: the exact email sent, the send time, recipient and delivery status are archived for every request.
Court-grade compliance record (PDF)
Generate a GoBD-compliant evidence PDF per request, secured with a tamper-evident checksum — proof of who received what, and when, in case of dispute.
Show it to the right audience
The statutory right of withdrawal applies to consumers only. Restrict the button to consumers (B2C) and hide it from business customers (B2B), based on pricelist or customer type.
