Disable Followers Control
The Disable Followers Control module gives you structured control over chatter followers. It allows you to stop automatic follower creation, restrict followers for selected documents, and define authorized followers through clear configuration rules. This helps maintain data privacy, reduce unnecessary notifications, and ensure controlled communication across your system.

Enable Followers Control
Activate advanced follower management directly from General Settings and control how chatter followers behave across documents.
Disable Auto Followers Globally
Prevent automatic follower creation when records are created or updated across the entire system.

1. Follower Configuration Settings

1.1 Enable Followers Control
Enable this option to activate follower restriction functionality across your Odoo system.

1.2 Disable Auto Followers Globally
When selected, users will not automatically become followers when documents are created or modified.

1.3 Disable Followers for Specific Documents
Apply follower restriction only to selected document types.

1.4 Manage Follower Settings
Open the rule configuration page to define restricted documents and allowed followers.
2. Manage Document Follower Rules
Create and manage rules for selected document types. Define allowed followers and activate rules when required.
3. Result When the "Disable Auto Followers Globally" setting is activated:
When the global disable option is selected:
- No automatic followers are added
- Follower button becomes inactive
- Users cannot subscribe automatically
4. Result When "Disable Followers for Specific Documents" Is Activated
When specific document rules are active:
- Only allowed followers can be added
- Unauthorized users cannot follow documents
- Rules apply only to selected document types
