How to Use â Step by Step
A complete guide to running your hotel in Odoo.
Install the Module
Go to Apps, search WT Hotel Management and click Install. The dependencies (Accounting and Discuss) install automatically. A new Hotel menu appears in the top bar.
Assign User Roles
Go to Settings → Users & Companies → Users. Open each user and under Hotel assign a role â Receptionist / Front Desk, Housekeeping or Hotel Manager. Managers get full access including billing and reporting.
Configure the Property
Open Hotel → Configuration. Create Floors (wings/levels), Room Types (Standard, Deluxe, Suite â each with a base rate, bed type and occupancy) and Amenities (Wi-Fi, AC, minibarâ¦).
Add Your Rooms
Go to Hotel → Front Office → Rooms. Add each room with its number, room type, floor and photo. The nightly rate and amenities default from the room type â adjust per room if needed.
Define Services
Under Configuration → Services create chargeable extras (breakfast, laundry, spa, airport transfer). Tick Recurring for anything billed every night â it is posted to the folio automatically for the whole stay.
Create a Reservation
Go to Hotel → Reservations and create a booking. Pick the guest, check-in/out dates and add one or more room lines. Click Confirm â the module verifies the rooms are available for those dates.
Check the Guest In
On arrival, open the reservation and click Check In. The rooms are marked occupied, a Folio is opened and room charges plus recurring services are posted automatically.
Post Extras on the Folio
During the stay, open the Folio and add extra charges â minibar, spa, room service. The untaxed / tax / total and balance-due figures recalculate instantly.
Invoice & Check Out
Click Create Invoice on the folio to raise a customer invoice, then Check Out on the reservation. Rooms are freed, flagged dirty and a housekeeping task is created automatically.
Manage Housekeeping & Track KPIs
Housekeeping staff work the Housekeeping Kanban board â Start and complete tasks to update room status. Managers watch the Front Desk dashboard for live occupancy, ADR and RevPAR.
