Overview
This module allows you to link multiple quotations together as alternatives. You can compare prices and product lines before confirming the final quotation.

Configuration
- 1. Enable Sales Alternatives
Go to Sales → Configuration → Settings. Enable the option Sales Alternatives and click Save.
- 2. Alternatives Tab in Quotation
When you create a new quotation, you will see a new tab called Alternatives on the quotation form. This tab is available only when the quotation is in Draft state.
- Create Alternative Quotation
Click on Create Alternative to quickly create a new quotation based on the current one.
- Create Alternative Wizard
This wizard allows you to create an alternative quotation from the current one. Enable Copy Products to copy all order lines into the new quotation. Click Create Alternative to generate and link it automatically.
- Modify Price in Alternative Quotation
After creating an alternative quotation, you can change the Unit Price of products as needed.
- Link Existing Quotation
You can also link an existing quotation as an alternative.
- Select Existing Quotation
After clicking Link to Existing RFQ, a wizard will open. Select one or more quotations from the list and click Select to link them as alternative quotations.
- Compare Alternative Quotations
Click the Compare button to view and compare product lines from the main quotation and all linked alternatives.
- Display Compared Order Lines and Best Price
After clicking Compare, all linked quotations are shown together. The line highlighted in green indicates the quotation with the best (lowest) unit price for easy selection.
- Choose Best Quotation
Click the Choose button to select the quotation with the best price.
- Clear Quantities in Other Quotations
After clicking Choose, the selected quotation keeps the product quantity. The same product quantity in all other linked quotations is automatically set to zero.
- Confirm Selected Quotation
After selecting the best quotation, click Confirm to proceed.
- Alternative Quotations Confirmation
When confirming a quotation that has alternatives, a warning popup appears. You can choose to Cancel Alternatives to close them, or Keep Alternatives to leave them as draft quotations.
- Cancel Alternative Quotations
If you select Cancel Alternatives, all other linked alternative quotations will be automatically cancelled. Only the confirmed quotation will remain active.
