The Odoo MCP Server bridges the gap between your Odoo ERP and modern AI assistants using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Navigate to My Preferences â MCP Server and click Generate Token. Enter the token name, request limit, assign a user, and generate a secure access token.
A secure secret key is generated automatically. Copy the key, as it will be used to authenticate your AI client with the Odoo MCP Server.
Open the terminal and run the MCP setup command. A client configuration file is automatically generated for your AI client.
Navigate to Settings â Technical â MCP Server â Connect a Client and select your preferred AI client, such as OpenCode.
Copy the generated MCP configuration from Odoo. This configuration securely connects your AI client to the Odoo MCP Server.
Open the generated configuration file in the terminal, paste the copied configuration, save the file, and exit the editor.
Run the OpenCode command from the terminal to start the AI client using the configured MCP connection.
OpenCode starts successfully and displays that the MCP Agent is active, Assign task " Create Product Named Bricks , Price 100."
The MCP Server is up and running, starts thinking for task assigned
The AI processes the request through the MCP Server and returns real-time information from your Odoo database
Access the built-in MCP Console to test available tools, execute requests, and validate AI interactions directly from Odoo.
Open Request Logs to view detailed records of every AI request and response, including execution status and response time.
Create custom AI Agent Tools by defining the tool name, description, input schema, and Python code. Once enabled, these tools become available to connected AI clients for secure, intelligent automation.
Navigate to Active Sessions to monitor all connected AI clients, active connections, and session details in real time.
