Cancel Inventory Operations for Odoo 19
Standard Odoo prevents cancelling most Done inventory operations. This module adds controlled cancellation for stock pickings, scrap orders, and Moves Analysis while keeping your inventory accurate. Choose Cancel Only, Cancel and Reset to Draft, or Cancel and Delete.

Step-by-step walkthrough for transfers, scrap, and moves analysis
Assign the Cancel Stock Operations permission on the user. Only authorized users can cancel or delete done inventory operations.
Go to Inventory → Configuration → Settings and enable cancellation for Stock Transfer, Stock Scrap, and Stock Move. Set the default cancel mode.
This is a completed movement in the product move history. Next steps show how to cancel the related transfer and revert the quantities.
Open the completed receipt/delivery and click Cancel Transfer to launch the wizard.
Select one or multiple pickings and use Actions → Cancel Transfer for mass cancellation.
Select Cancel Only, Cancel and Reset to Draft, or Cancel and Delete, then confirm.
When using Reset to Draft, the operation returns to draft and posts chatter notes for traceability.
After cancellation, the product move history reflects the corrected state (no remaining move for the cancelled operation).
View completed scrap orders and select records for cancellation.
Select scrap order(s) and use Actions → Cancel Scrap.
Pick the cancel mode for scrap and confirm.
The scrap order returns to draft with chatter notes recording the correction and quantity update.
From Inventory → Reporting → Moves Analysis, select move(s) and use Actions → Cancel Move.
Choose the cancel mode for move analysis records and confirm.
After correction, use the status filter to review remaining movements and confirm your inventory is clean.

Install Module

Assign Permission
Enable Cancel Stock Operations group for the user.
Enable Features
Inventory → Configuration → Settings → enable picking/scrap/move cancel.

Open picking/scrap/move and run Cancel action (form or list view).

Frequently asked questions about cancelling done inventory operations
Community and Enterprise supported?
Yes. Works on Odoo 19 Community and Enterprise.
Works on Odoo Online?
No. Third-party Apps Store modules cannot be installed on Odoo Online (SaaS).
Does it affect valuation?
Yes. It reverses the related stock valuation accounting entries for accurate inventory value.
Is FIFO supported?
No. FIFO is blocked to avoid valuation inconsistencies. Use Average or Standard costing.
