InfoSreda OpenERP Web Masked Input Widget
Masked Input Widget is OpenERP web-client extension that allows to validate data on client-side. Thanks to sweet jQuery plugin - Masked Input Plugin developed by Josh Bush (see https://github.com/digitalBush/jquery.maskedinput for details) - it helps (and forces) user to fill certain fields correctly. And it's extremely easy to use.
Nota bene!
Please, close attention that this module works ONLY with web-client and doesn't support GTK-client. All fields marked with this widget will NOT be rendered in GTK-client at all.
Usage
- Install Masked Input Widget module following routine procedure
- Set "widget" field attribute as "masked"
- Set "context" field attribute something like as "{'mask': '999-999-999-99'}". (Please note, that this string looks pretty much like Python dict, where key is keyword "mask" and value is user input rule)
Finally you will end up with XML similar to this:
... <field name="phone" widget="masked" context="{'mask': '(+9 999) 999-99-99'}" /> <field name="card" widget="masked" context="{'mask': '9999-9999-9999-9999'}" /> ...
Enjoy and look for inspiration at the official Masked Input Plugin docs page: http://digitalbush.com/projects/masked-input-plugin.
If you are using apps.openerp.com
Looks like apps.openerp.com site doesn't refresh once uploaded images. Please ignore blue screenshot. It displays "attrs" attrubute which is incorrect. You should use "context" attribute instead of "attrs". We are deeply sorry. (All other markup is fine.)
