Adaptiv Backend Theme documentation
Installation
This theme has several additional modules which are automatically installed, depending on your installed Odoo features. You have to download these additional modules (at no extra costs) and unzip them next to adaptiv_web to ensure a working installation:
adaptiv_mail Bridge module between adaptiv_web and mail.
adaptiv_web_editor Bridge module between adaptiv_web and web_editor.
adaptiv_web_tour Bridge module between adaptiv_web and web_tour.
adaptiv_website Bridge module between adaptiv_web and website.
adaptiv_portal Bridge module between adaptiv_web and portal.
adaptiv_web_settings_dashboard Bridge module between adaptiv_web and web_settings_dashboard.
adaptiv_web_login Changes the Odoo login screen. Can cause problems when a custom frontend theme also modifies the login screen.
- Unzip all these modules next to eachother in your custom addons folder.
- Restart your Odoo instance.
- Install adaptiv_web.
Upgrading to a newer version
If you have an existing installation of this theme, and whish to upgrade to a newer version. Follow these instructions CAREFULLY.
Odoo provides 2 methods for upgrading a module:
- Through the user interface.
- Or through the Odoo CLI RECOMMENDED.
Depending on your current version and the new version you are upgrading to, method 1 might not work. Follow the steps below to upgrade using the CLI (command line interface).
Depending on the way you have installed Odoo, the location of the CLI script might be different to the one described below.
- Unzip all new modules and replace the existing ones.
- Run odoo.py -d YOUR_DB_NAME -u adaptiv_web
- Restart your Odoo instance.

Browser: Google chrome >=50, Firefox >=52, Safari >=10, IE >= 11, Edge >= 15 Odoo: 11.0 (tested against commit a0a5443e8f0606b561d2955449a690ea8a178703) Odoo modules: All official Odoo modules. 3rd party modules with custom css might cause trouble.

This theme can run on Odoo Enterprise as long as the enterprise_web module has been uninstalled.

Error in the login interface (blank page)
After updating our Odoo server code, we encountered an error in the login interface (blank page) once the adaptive modules were installed :'( Here are the versions we used: Odoo code server : Odoo 11 version of 02 november 2018 (Adaptive_web : 11.0.1.101 Adpative_mail : 11.0.1.100 Adaptive_portail : 11.0.1.101 and Adaptive_website : 11.0.1.104) (Thanks for this module !)
Adaptiv Theme problem with Third Party Module

Great for us on-prem but...
getting errors on Odoo.sh we have not seen: ``` Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement gevent==1.1.2,==1.3.4 There a lines for "gevent" package: gevent==1.1.2 ; sys_platform != 'win32' and python_version < '3.7' gevent==1.3.4 ; sys_platform != 'win32' and python_version >= '3.7' ```

Amazing Theme great support and clean coding
I have been looking in to many themes but this is definitely the best I have seen! It is super flexible but very much thought through regarding coloring! The coding itself is very clean and good and on highest standard! It is a super fast theme and best responsive theme that is existing for Odoo! Even Odoo enterprise is not as good regarding speed and responsiveness! Raymond is supporting you very fast and good when you have issues installing it and goes far beyond expectations regarding support! I for example had issues installing it because my server version was outdated and he quickly updated my server and explained everything to me! I am happy that I had the chance to talk to Raymond because he is so far the most knowledgeable Odoo and full stack developer that I have met so far! Thanks Raymond for really everything! Talking to guys like you make me believe in good IT and innovative projects again!

Hi, Everything worked just perfect for me. Just one small question: Upon login, the landed page is show blank. I know there's an option to set the default menu as the landing page to change the sequence from menu items. however Dashboard show as my first module but still landed page blank after first login in odoo 11. I wish the default landing page upon login should be the Main Dashboard page. Can someone guide? is there an any theme issue. I've used adaptive web theme.

Style error after installing another custom module
I've installed another custom module which is not working. I'm having the same error as johns@ariasoft.org . If I uninstall the Adaptiv theme, the custom module works just fine. Any ideas ? Calendar font does not work on iPhone/mobile
Some features don't appear to be mobile tested/compatible, the date fonts are messsed up (way too large) on the Calendar, the Chat text box is too small to type in, header button sections could be improved. If we purchased, will you fix?

I've written a few reviews online and when I do come to the point of writing one, its because I've exhausted all avenues of communication Including sending smoke signals in Morris code just incase the backbone of the internet went down, you never know. I can't stand the fill out a ticket and we'll contact you in 3-10 days type developers when you have a business to run and waiting that long is an eternity. Should you buy this application? (The Short Answer) Yes, you should buy it if you have Odoo 11 installed. If your concern is whether it will work, Raymond backs this program up 100%. Who should not purchase this app? If you DONT have Odoo 11. Too simple. Don't be a dummy, back up the database locally first. If you don't, then not even Raymond the coding genius can help you if something bad happens. Did the application cause errors when you first installed it? Yes, it did and because of several bad experiences I was very angry that I wasted the money. However, there is great news about this which I will explain. First, remember that these programs just go wrong sometimes, its to be expected but its how its handled that makes you a hero or a zero at the end of the day. In my anger, I was out for blood and I see "Raymond Reggers" responding to questions and issues to all questions. I emailed him and within 2 minutes Im yelling at the screen saying things I wouldn't dare say without my internet muscles wondering why he isn't answering. :-) I'm the one that failed because he makes it clear that the fastest way is through Skype. It was mid-day where I am so it had to be between 2am - 5am for him and he responded within seconds. If you think it was luck, it wasn't, because I contacted him 2 other times randomly and he responded just as fast. Frustrated, I am typing my woes while pounding the keys wondering what language barriers we will encounter today. He responds in english and not only that, he asked the right questions letting me know he understood the issue quickly. My isn't wasn't some easy fix either, I had many modifications and a web theme that caused so many problems that I bought from EMIPRO TECHNOLOGIES who I do not recommend as they are the night mere company that makes me not want to buy anything from the app store again. Ugh... Anyway, he didn't make it tough on me since I'm not a coding expert and connected to my screen share and starting to investigate right away. The error was one caused from several different areas and I expected him to tell me he couldnt fix this, or I would have to pay more money. I was wrong again, instead of typing he just picked up and called me over skype. He had an accent like Arnold Schwartznegger and had a very very positive upbeat demeanor and quickly my mood changed. I couldn't help but laugh because while he is talking with me and holding a conversation and being personable im watching my screen just flying through code and through the software, my eyes can't keep up with what I'm seeing. He mine as well have been playing Mozart on the piano while typing 200 words a minute at the same time. I can only speculate that in Raymonds previous life, God may have had him programming DNA and rewriting some DNA coding issues making sure the DNA coding sequences were spot on! When he called me I had no idea who this was.... ***Ring Ring**** Me: Hello?... Raymond: Bert! Good morning I am so sorry you are having this issue but do not worry I am going to take good care of you today and make sure it works perfectly! The issue is a bit complicated and may take a bit for me to get through it all but you do not worry, your in good hands. **Sigh of Relief from that positive response** In Conclusion: He went above and beyond the call of duty to assist me with getting the application installed properly and I LOVE IT. I was planning on leaving Odoo because going from enterprise to community was a big change as I really hate the community backend style so this made all the difference. The best part is that I could load it perfectly on my iPhone device. iOS has about 2-3 terrible Odoo apps that don't work well at all but this one shows perfectly on my hone so we now do not need the application. If I haven't said enough good things already, the guy was kind enough to fix several other non related issues and give me a mini tutorial because he cares that much about his customers. We got to chatting away and my overall impression was that he is working on a couple major projects and he built this app with many many hours of labor and its his pride and joy. He wanted nothing more than to take care of his customers irregardless of the complexity of the error or what is causing the error. It is for this reason that I highly recommend to anyone that you buy this product. Raymond backs this product with an iron clad guarantee though he may not say it, but he will make sure to go out of his way to take care of you. Thank you for the amazing level of service and I know this was long winded, but Raymond truly deserves it.

familiar error - working on on-prem server but not on Odoo.sh
Hi Raymond, the theme was working great in our on -prem dev instance but when we moved to Odoo.sh, tests starting failing all over the place. This looks like the culprit: ```The traceback that you are seeing "The ID "%s" refers to an uninstalled module""" % (xml_id,) AssertionError: The ID "web_settings_dashboard.web_dashboard_menu" refers to an uninstalled module" is from the custom application app_menu_setting https://github.com/xaasutility/test/blob/master/app_menu_setting/view/app_setting.xml#L15 this application depends on other module named web_settings_dashboard and making reference to a record created in that application with the code web_settings_dashboard_action. Now I looked further and and you don't have an application "web_settings_dashboard" but you have similar named application "adaptiv_web_settings_dashboard" but no where in the code is the record declared (https://github.com/xaasutility/test/search?q=web_settings_dashboard_action&unscoped_q=web_settings_dashboard_action). ``` I'm updating our code now and will let know if this resolves it but if not, any other places I should investigate? If you see the Odoo community look, then you don't have to worry about enterprise being installed. If you do see the enterprise look. Look for web_enterprise * instead of enterprise_web.

On documentation says, that it works with the enterprise_web module uninstalled. How can I check if it is installed, since no module is found with that name on the Application Module.

I am getting a lot of errors
I created a custom-addons folder inside the add-ons folder unpacked the theme and the other complementary folders next to it and I can see it under the apps tab in my instance but I get a bunch of errors when trying to install the theme.

Version 11.0.1.100 is almost ready. This will include the new (optional) login screen, a new configuration screen, fixes and more. I see the problem you are talking about. With the last update I mimicked Odoo's mobile kanban solution. Right now Odoo does not fold the kanban columns on a smartphone either. I might be able to provide you with a custom solution (simply hiding collapsed columns on Mobile). It's mayby better to add me on skype, so we can continue the conversation there.
Bug: Folded in Kanban are not Folded on smartphone
Small bug (they are so small that I am not sure should I report it here or directly to you): Folded in Kanban are not shown as Folded on smartphone screen. This male confusion on Project Dashboard (Done Tasks, which are in Done Folded Stage, are counted as well).

We have noticed 2 bugs. On smartphones: - Project do not show tasks in Kanban. Workaround is: 1. Click Load more..., 2. Go to List View 3. Go back to Kanban . We can not scroll up and down in Settings module

Hello Dirk, Yes ofcourse! The theme has a variables.less file with ~350 variables! For example this file contains these variables for controlling typography: @adaptiv-font-size-base: 14px; @adaptiv-line-height-base: 1.428571429; // 20/14 @adaptiv-font-family: 'Roboto', sans-serif; These variables for white / black shades. You can even create a full black background with white letters by swapping these 2 variables (Or anything in between to create a gray background): @_inverse: #000; @_shade: #fff; Changing Menu color is easy, this can be done per company at the branding tab. If you would like a demo / help add me on skype.

Can we change the font and colour, the menu colour, .... For example, we need white and gray background and small font. Similar to Google docs, with Black letters.
