A responsive grid of every installed app. One click opens the app — no digging through the top menu.
Instant search
Start typing — or press Ctrl + K — to find any menu and jump to it. Accent-insensitive: “facturacion” finds “Facturación”.
Drag to reorder
Arrange apps exactly how you like, or group them by category. Your layout is saved per user.
Your own wallpaper
Pick one of nine bundled wallpapers or upload your own; the theme adapts icon contrast so everything stays readable.
Keyboard first
Arrow keys move across the grid, Enter opens the app, Esc clears — and typing anywhere lands in the search box.

Small, medium or large tiles in one click — the grid re-flows and your choice is remembered.
Make it match your brand
A simple Settings page with a live preview. Tune the brand, primary, info, success, warning and danger colours, the navbar and the home app names — then reset anytime.

A bundled gallery right in Settings: six backgrounds colour-matched to the theme palettes plus three signature designs. Pick one and it becomes your home screen — no upload needed.

Home Screen Theme
A modern, customizable home screen for Odoo 17 Community - a clean grid of all your apps with theme colours, a personal wallpaper and drag-and-drop ordering.
Installation
- Copy the home_theme folder into your custom addons path.
- Restart the Odoo server.
- Open the Apps menu and click Update Apps List.
- Search for Home Screen Theme and click Install.
Configuration
Open Settings -> Home Screen Theme (administrator):
- Backend colours - customise the light-mode palette: brand, primary, info, success, warning and danger colours; the navbar / sidebar background and text; and the home app-name colour. Use Reset light colors to restore defaults.
- Home screen background - upload your own wallpaper (JPG, PNG or SVG; 1920×1080 or larger is recommended).
Usage
- The home screen becomes the launcher: a responsive grid of every installed app, with a greeting and an instant search bar - type to find any app, menu or screen and jump straight to it.
- Drag an app tile to reorder it; the layout is saved per user.
- Switch to the group by category view to organise apps into sections.
- Move between the home screen and your apps with the back / home arrows.
A full backend dark mode, a vertical sidebar, a global command palette and more are available in the Home Screen Theme Pro add-on.
