Pricelist, fiscal position, payment term, prices, taxes, reports and more added to pickings

This module offers the possibility of working with valued pickings. It allows to work with accounting data in stock picking as if they were sale or purchase orders, allowing to print picking reports with taxes and prices. The creation of the invoice is still taking place in sale/purchase orders.

Adapted to the standard workflow

The bulk of the functionality of this module is implemented on incoming and outgoing pickings, keeping logically the internal transfers without valuation. Unlike previous versions of Odoo, version 10 does not allow to generate invoices from pickings, therefore there is only one workflow to follow:

  • Picking linked to orders: the purchase/sale workflow starts with quotations/orders. Accounting data of these are moved to the picking generated when the mentioned orders are confirmed. Then, the invoice is generated from the order. The creation of an independent picking with its own accounting data is possible, but these data is not moved to the related invoice.

Stock picking valued report

The inclusion of a new report allows to print alternatively a standard picking or a valued one, depending on which one is needed in each moment.

As this module makes currency a mandatory field in pickings, to avoid warnings which stop the workflow of the user, the currency column of the pickings previously generated (created before the module installation) is automatically filled in with the respective partner currency.

However, the accounting data left of these old pickings is not re-computed, so existing pickings before the module installation will have not values in their prices, taxes, etc.

Installation

To install this module, you need to:
  • You must have installed or available to install the module purchase.
  • You must have installed or available to install the module sale.
  • You must have installed or available to install the module stock.

Usage

To use this module, you need to:

First, take a look at your Sale/Purchase configuration.

Outgoing pickings configuration

  • To use pricelists and therefore, other currencies (if you have allowed Multi currencies in the Technical Settings of the user), check the option Sale Pricelists under the Technical Settings of the user currently logged in. This option will make available the pricelists in sale orders and in pickings too.
  • To use discounts per line, check the option Allow discounts on sales order lines under the Quotations & Sales sections, inside the Sales Settings option. This option will make available the discounts in sale order lines and in stock moves too. As Odoo uses two separated models for purchase orders and sale orders but only one for stock pickings, this setting will allow discounts in both incoming and outgoing stock moves.

Incoming pickings configuration

  • To use currencies, check the option Multi currencies under the Technical Settings of the user currently logged in. This option will make available the currencies in purchase orders and in pickings too.

Once you have your own configuration set, you can work as always.

Outgoing picking valued

  • Go to Sales > Sales > Sales Orders, and create any order.
  • Confirm the order, and then, click on the Delivery button.
  • Transfer the picking
  • If your workflow starts from pickings, ignore the first two steps and go to Warehouse > Operations > All Transfers > Delivery Orders to create a picking instead.

Incoming picking valued

  • Go to Purchases > Purchase > Purchase Orders, and create any order.
  • Confirm the order, and then, click on the Shipment button.
  • Transfer the picking
  • If your workflow starts from pickings, ignore the first two steps and go to Warehouse > Operations > All Transfers > Receipts to create a picking instead.

Finally, to get a valued picking report, go to the picking tree/form, select the picking/s and click on Print > Delivery Slip Valued at the top of the view.
