This is an Odoo partner manager tool to exclude double work and broken communication through fore-handed exposure of duplicates of contacts: customers, suppliers, any Odoo partners

Real-time duplicates search

The apps check possible duplicates each time a user opens or saves partners. It means that the search is done in real time and takes into account all recent changes.
Duplicates are shown on kanban, tree, and form views. Using the special button you can open candidates to check whether those are actual duplicates. Besides, users may select possible copies by applying the filter 'Potential Duplicates'.

Since the search is done in real-time Odoo has to check all shown records for duplicates among all existing records. For example, when you open customers' kanban with 80 items, and you have 10,000 partners, the tool make 80 searches by your criteria among 10000 documents. It may result in slowdowns of the following operations:

  • Opening kanban and list views of Odoo contacts
  • Saving changes after update of partners

The tool is optimized to make searches as efficient as Odoo ORM allows it. Simultaneously, with a growing number of documents a search will become slower.

Duplicates are defined according to set of rules which you set up. A rule is a field by which an item is considered as copy, e.g. email or unique number. A document is considered as a duplicate, if it satisfies any of criteria

As a duplicate criteria use any stored field of the following types: char (name, email, phone, mobile, etc.), text (descriptions), many2one (e.g, reference for a parent company), selection (for instance, type), date and datetime (e.g. birthday), integer and float (any unique code or even a credit limit).

For all field a duplicate should have absolutely the same value (e.g. '123' = '123', but '123' is not equal '1234'). Only for the case of soft search by char fields it is the operator 'ilike'. Thus, 'agro' is considered to be a potential duplicate of 'Agrolait' (but Agrolait is not considered as a duplicate of 'agro').

You may also restrict search only for companies and stand-alone individuals. If the option is checked, Odoo will search only for and only among partners without parent.

Rigid or soft duplicates

The tool let you both strictly avoid duplicates and/or just warn of those. Use rigid criteria to fully exclude duplicates creation. Odoo would not allow salespersons to save a partner, if any duplicates were found by rigid rules.
Use soft criteria to warn salespersons of possible duplicates but not restrict them in such duplicates creation. An instance access to potential duplicates is available from form and kanban views.

The module supports multi companies. Duplicates are searched within a certain company. Thus, there might be equal objects related to different corporates.
Found partners' duplicates might be merged through the standard Odoo merging tool.

According to the current Odoo Apps Store policies:

Yes, all modules marked in dependencies are absolutely required for a correct work of our tool. Take into account that price marked on the app page already includes all necessary dependencies.  

No, third party apps can not be used on Odoo Online.

Red / orange warning itself does not influence features of the app. Regretfully, sometimes our modules do not pass standard automatic tests, since the latter assumes behavior which is in conflict with our apps goals. For example, we change price calculation, while standard Odoo module tests compare final price to standard algorithm.

So, first of all, please check deployed database features. Does everything work correctly?

If you still assume that warning influences real features, please contact us and forward full installation logs and the full lists of deployed modules (including core and third party ones).

As soon as you purchased the app, the button 'Deploy on Odoo.sh' will appear on the app's page in the Odoo store. Push this button and follow the instructions.

The app vendors do not have control over the Odoo store portal and can't manage licenses therefore. Please contact the store representatives directly using the email address apps@odoo.com or through the contact us form

How will this app work with a record rule that only displays contact to the assigned salesperson?

I'd like to identify duplicates, but I also have a record rule to restrict access to contacts only for the assigned salesperson or multiple salespersons. Can your work work with this rule?

Hello! In case a user can not access partners which are considered as soft/rigid duplicates, all checks would be anyway done and would be done for all possible partners even not available. So, this user, would see the soft duplicates counter and would be not able to save a rigid duplicate even he/she cannot see such contacts.
