After installing our module, navigate to General Settings and enable Global Search.
After enabling the Global Search setting, navigate to the Users & Companies menu. There, you will find the Global Search Configuration menu click on it to proceed.
Create a new record and select a model. For example, if you want to search within the Sale Order model, select it. You can create multiple records for different models as needed.
In the Fields tab, select the specific fields you want to include in the search. For example, in the Sale Order model, if you want to search only by Customer Name and Sale Order Name, choose those two fields.
Next, navigate to the Company menu as shown in the image below.
Next, in the Company record, go to the Global Search tab after enabling the Show Global Search option. In the Global Search field, select the multiple records you have created in the Global Search model. If you're using multiple companies, you can choose to enable Show Global Search for one company while disabling it for another. This can be managed from this section. Additionally, if you want to add a search for Sale Order in one company and a different model in another company, you can manage these settings here as well.
Then, you will see a search bar in the header, as shown in the image below.
You will then see the search results. After clicking on a record, it will open in a new tab.
