After installing our module, you will find that the Global Search Configuration menu becomes visible.
Create a new record and select a model. For example, if you want to search within the Sales Order model, select it. You can also create multiple records for different models as needed.
In the Fields tab, select the specific fields you want to include in the search. For example, in the Sale Order model, if you want to search only by Customer Name and Sale Order Name, select those fields.
In the Company record, open the Global Search tab and enable the Show Global Search option. Then, in the Global Search field, select the multiple records you have created in the Global Search model.If you are using multiple companies, you can enable Global Search for one company and disable it for another from this section.You can also configure different search models for each company—for example, enable Sale Order search in one company and a different model in another.
If you want to search across all models and their related records, enable the Global Search setting.
After enabling the “Search in Menus” setting, you can search menus.
After enabling the Show Global Search setting, the search icon will appear, allowing you to search records or menus easily.
