Creating & generating API keys from your Shopify website
Before using the module you need to generate the API from the Shopify store end. In order to do the same, Go to Shopify Store > Login Your Store > Click Manage Private Apps
Once you click on “Manage Private Apps” link, you need to create the Private Apps which will be interacting with Odoo. In order to do the same, Click Create new private app
Fill all the required details and click Show Inactive Admin API Permissions and give all access [(read), (read and write)] to the app
In order to maintain the keys for future use, you need to save them.
Creating & testing the Shopify InstanceAfter installing the module go to Odoo Settings > Users > and give user the shopify access
you will be able to view that there is Shopify Connector Menu created where in Shopify menu you can create the instance. Shopify Connector > Instance.
Click on the Create button to create a new instance.
Enter the name of your instance, Shopify Store URL, Consumer Key, Customer Password & Shared Secret, after putting all the information you can click on “Save” button.
Once you are done with creating the instance, you can test your connection by clicking on Connect Instance button If everything is added properly you will receive a message on the same page “Connection Successful”. In case the connection is not successful you can correct the information entered.
Configure & activate the Shopify instanceAfter your instance get connected, you need to setup basic details for Shopify instance.
In Currency tab you need to fill the below details as stated:Multi Currency: Select the Multi currency from where you wish to manage multiple pricelist based on currencies.
In Product Information tab you need to fill the below details as stated:Shopify Sync/ Import Images?: Whether you want to sync the product image or not.Shopify Sync/ Import Price?: Whether you want to sync the product Price or not.Stock Field Type: Select the type of stock you want to use for your products
In Order tab you need to complete the below details as stated:Order Prefix: Enter the prefix you want to be named as sale order name.Order Status: Enter the status of order which can be imported from ShopifySales Team: Select the Sales Team for Shopify OrdersSales Person: Select the Sales Person for Shopify OrdersPayment Term: Select the Payment term for Shopify ordersSale Workflow: Configure the sale workflow for your instanceEmail Configurations: Enter email where you all sale order reporting will be sent everyday
In Webhooks tab you will configure webhooks for various domains and that will be automatically reflected on Shopify. Now no need to fizzy way of url management, just create the webhook all you are required to do.
After Configuring all the required fields, click on "Active Instance" to perform the synchronization operations.
