How to Use
Requirements
- Must have atleast 1 account in Semaphore.
Install Semaphore SMS Integration in Odoo
- Activate developer mode
- Go to Apps
- Click on Update Apps List
- Search and install Semaphore SMS Integration
Get Api Key in Semaphore & Create Semaphore Account in Odoo
- Go to semaphore.co
- Sign In account
- Copy the API Key in the Dashboard
- In Odoo, go to Semaphore / Accounts
- Paste the API Key
Send a SMS using SMS Composer in Odoo
- In Odoo, go to Semaphore and click Send Messages menu choose SMS Composer
- Choose Send to Contacts in Composition Mode field
- Choose your newly created Sender Account
- Choose/Create your recipients
- Enter your message and click Send
- Check your Mobile Phone for messages
- Compose a new Message
- Choose Send to Numbers in Composition Mode field
- Choose your Sender Account
- Create a recipients
- Enter a message and send
- Check your Mobile Phone for messages
Send a SMS using Scheduled Messages in Odoo
- In Odoo, go to Semaphore and click Send Messages menu choose Scheduled Messages
- Choose your Semaphore Account in Account field
- Set a Schedule
- Compose a Message
- Choose a recipients
- Click Schedule
- By clicking send, you can manually send your scheduled message.
- Check your Mobile Phone for message
Create Semaphore SMS templates in Odoo
- In Odoo, go to the Settings click Technical menu choose Phone / SMS / Semaphore SMS Templates
- Click Dynamic Placeholder Generator tab
- Choose which field you want to use
- Set a default value
- Copy the placeholder expression
- Paste it to the message body in Body tab
- Set Sender Account in Sender tab
Use Automated Actions to send a SMS in Odoo with Semaphore.
- In Odoo, go to the Settings click Technical menu choose Automation/Automated Actions
- Select "Send SMS Text Message using Semaphore" in Action To Do field.
- Choose your newly created template.
- Set a Domain to which you want to send SMS messages
- Trigger your Automated Action with the set Model and Trigger fields.
- Check your Mobile Phone for message.
Limitations
- Cannot receive replies
- Need to buy load credits from Semaphore to be able to send messages
