Before installing our module, you'll notice that there is no unit of measurement suggestion on the product pages of the website's shop section.
After installation, you will see a selection of units of measurement, along with product pricing based on the chosen unit.
In the image below, you’ll see a setting in the Product Template under the Sales tab. Here, you can select the units of measurement for a specific product, which will then appear in the product's UOM (Unit of Measure) selection on the website.
As you can see, the selected units of measurement appear in the product’s dropdown selection on the website. Additionally, availability messages are displayed according to the chosen unit of measure (UOM).
As you can see, the price will automatically update based on the selected unit of measure (UOM) for the product, and the availability message will also adjust accordingly.
In the website cart, when you add a product with different UOMs, each product line will appear separately according to its UOM. However, if you add the same product with a UOM that already exists in the cart, the quantity will increase within that existing cart line.
UOMs will also be managed in the backend sales order, just like in the website cart.
Enable this setting to use the optional products feature, allowing customers to add optional products when they click the "Add to Cart" button on the website.
In the Product Template under the Sales tab, there is an Optional Products selection. If this selection is blank, the optional products popup will not appear. However, once optional products are selected, the popup will display when the Add to Cart button is clicked.
In this optional product popup, the main product's UOM is based on your selection from the available UOMs, while the optional products use their default UOM. The quantity of the optional products matches that of the main product.
When adding an optional product to the cart, if a product with the same unit of measure (UOM) already exists in the cart without optional products, the quantities will be combined. However, when a product with optional products is added, it will always create a new line in the cart. The only exception occurs when a product without optional products is already in the cart and you add the same product with optional products and the same UOM in this case the quantities will be merged on that line.
Enable the wishlist feature to utilize the wishlist functionality.
Add the product to your wishlist.
When you add a product to the cart from the wishlist, the product's UOM will be set to its default UOM.
On the product page, clicking the "Customize" menu reveals an option to enable the "Buy Now" button. This allows you to purchase the product directly, skipping the "Add to Cart" process.
After enabling the "Buy Now" button, it will appear on the product page, allowing customers to purchase the product directly, bypassing the "Add to Cart" step.
After clicking, you will proceed directly to payment for the product with the selected unit of measure (UOM).
