Hello, today I faced a situation with Odoo, that I had never seen before and wanted to check if this is feasible with this module
Say you have this scenario:
Costing method: FIFO
1. Product A, purchase 1: 10 units * cost: $10 = $100.00
2. Product A, purchase 2: 10 units * cost: $15 = $150.00
3. Sell 15 units product A: 15 units * cost: $11.67 = $175
4. Sell 2 units product A: 2 units * cost: $15.00 = $30.00
When I review the stock valuation report, I see that the cost in operation #4 is $11.67. Which is the result of dividing total sale/units sold = $175/15. Is this correct?
I thought Odoo, was going to add 2 records, like this:
First 10 units * cost: $10 = $100 and
Second 5 units * cost: $15 = $75
If that's the case, how people can tell how many units when out at a certain cost and what others went out at a different cost?. This example is easy, cause I'm studying it, but say you have hundreds of products, you will not be able to track this information.
Does your product allow to have this type of traceability?
Re:
Thank you so much for detail information.
Sorry alexis! FIFO will not cover in this module.
Is this module changing the existing Routes settings? I just configured Some Manufacturing Routes earlier and then I installed this Module, then checked that all my routes set have been reset to original state.
Your response will be highly appreciated.
Thanks
Re:
Hi,
No it will not change anything in standard flow, this is a independent module to generate only report. So when you install or uninstall this module it will nothing to change in any flow.
Thank you,
