According to my question above, I used "redirect_uri=https://localhost/8071/linkedin/redirect"(*) but it doesn't work.

Any other suggestions of what I have to do to use this app?

Hi,

If you are trying to connect LinkedIn from your local system, make sure that the redirect URL is secure and publicly accessible. This means the URL must use https:// instead of http://.

For testing purposes, you can use ngrok to expose your local Odoo instance through a secure public HTTPS URL.

Also ensure that the Base URL in Odoo (Settings → System Parameters → web.base.url) is updated to the same HTTPS URL generated by ngrok.

Finally, add this exact HTTPS redirect URL to your LinkedIn application under Auth (OAuth 2.0) setting

Hi,

I'm trying to use your app "Advanced HR-LinkedIn Integration by Cybrosys Techno Solutions" in my Odoo CE 16 but LinkedIn is always giving me un erro like:

&scope=w_member_social+email+profile+openid

Bummer, something went wrong.

The redirect_uri does not match the registered value.

Maybe the scopes I'm using are deprecated.

Any suggestions of what I have to do to use this app?

The message “The redirect_uri does not match the registered value” means that the redirect_uri configured in the LinkedIn Developer account does not match the URL used by Odoo.

The redirect URL must be set correctly under the Auth (OAuth 2.0) settings.

Also, need to make sure that the required LinkedIn products are added to the app in the Developer portal.
