Cash Flow & Liquidity Forecast — Know If You Will Have Cash
Project your liquidity week by week or month by month from real receivables, payables, bank balances and the commitments you already know about — placing each payment on the date that customer really pays, not just the due date. Runway, scenarios and a live treasury cockpit. Optional AI. Bring your own API key.
A narrated walkthrough on sample data, start to finish.
Your whole cash position, projected forward — opening cash, expected inflows and outflows, runway and the lowest point you will hit, at a glance.
Cash lands when customers pay — not when the invoice falls due
Most cash forecasts put every open invoice on its due date, so the curve looks better than your bank account ever does. This one can learn how late each customer really pays from your own paid invoices of the last twelve months and move their open invoices to that date. A customer who always pays three weeks late lands three weeks late in the forecast too.
One switch in Configuration. Learned per customer from real payment dates, capped at 90 days, and recomputed every day; a customer with no payment history keeps the due date. Turn it off and every invoice goes back to its due date.
- Shows yesterday, not tomorrow
- A flat number with no runway
- No scenarios, no drill-down, no plan
- Projects your cash position period by period
- Runway, lowest point, optimistic / base / pessimistic scenarios
- Tells you when cash runs short — before it does, with optional AI
Spot one cash gap a few weeks early — accelerate a collection or delay a payment — and it has already paid for itself, many times over.
Will I have cash? Answered.
Open Cash Flow. It reads your open customer invoices, vendor bills and bank & cash balances — no setup, nothing to import.
One click projects your cash forward, period by period: opening cash, expected inflows and outflows, net and closing balance.
The cockpit shows your runway, your lowest projected balance and the first period you dip below your safety buffer — so you act early.
Drill into any period
Click any week or month to see exactly what drives it — every invoice due in and every bill due out, overdue ones included, with your recurring costs and the closing balance. Not a sample of the biggest: the full list, so the week can actually be worked through.
Payroll, VAT and loans — before any invoice exists
Some money moves with no invoice behind it: payroll and the social contributions that follow it, VAT payable or recoverable, loan instalments, dividends. You already know the amount and the date — record it once as a planned commitment, choose whether it repeats monthly, quarterly or yearly, and every occurrence inside your horizon joins the projection.
Each commitment with its expected date, amount and repeat frequency — payments in red, receipts in green, and the total of what is coming.
Disputed or late — you decide where it lands
Your team already knows which invoices will not be paid on time: a customer who disputes the bill, a supplier you will pay after the handover. Click the invoice in the period drill-down and leave it out of the forecast or expect it on another date, with the reason. The invoice itself never changes and still counts in your receivables and payables; every adjusted document is listed apart in the cockpit, with what it takes out of the forecast, and goes back to its due date in one click.
One click on a disputed invoice: keep it on its due date, expect it on another date or leave it out — with the reason your team will see.
Branches? Several companies? One cash position
The forecast adds up every company you have active in the company switcher — branches included: cash on hand, expected inflows and outflows and the projected curve, as one position. Each company keeps its own settings and its own bank balances, every figure in the drill-down says which company it comes from, and amounts kept in another currency are converted to yours.
One forecast over two branches: every line in the drill-down says where it comes from.
Best case, base case, worst case
Real collections never land at 100%. Stress-test your forecast with optimistic, base and pessimistic collection assumptions and see all three cash curves at once — so you plan for the worst case, not just the hopeful one.
Was the forecast right? Now you know
Every time the forecast is rebuilt, what it predicted for each period still ahead is stored. Once that period has passed, it appears next to the cash that really moved through your bank and cash accounts — the variance, and how close you were. Over a few periods you learn something no single forecast can tell you: whether you lean optimistic or cautious, and by how much.
Each closed period: what you forecast, what really happened, the variance and the accuracy — with the average and your bias at a glance.
AI treasury read — optional, your own key
Add your own Anthropic Claude or OpenAI key and get a short read of your forecast and one concrete next action — accelerate a collection, delay a payment, open a credit line — in your language. The module calls the provider directly from your Odoo: no data goes through a third party, and you control the model and the cost. The AI never posts or changes anything.
Set it up once
Choose weekly or monthly, your horizon, your safety buffer, your recurring costs, your scenario assumptions and where the cash curve starts. Opening cash is read from your bank & cash accounts automatically, or set it manually. Add an AI key if you want one and test the connection in a click.
Features
- Projected cash curve — opening cash plus expected inflows minus expected outflows, period by period, as a cumulative liquidity line.
- Runway & liquidity gap — how many periods of cash you have, and the first period your balance drops below your safety buffer.
- Inflows from real receivables — open customer invoices bucketed by due date; overdue optionally rolled into the first period.
- Payment-behavior timing (learned) — optionally shift each open invoice to when that customer really pays, from their own average lateness learned from your history — so the curve reflects when cash lands, not just when it was due.
- Order book (optional) — project confirmed sales orders (future inflows) and purchase orders (future outflows) not yet invoiced — only the not-yet-invoiced part, so nothing double-counts your invoices and bills. Needs Sales / Purchase.
- Forecast vs actual — each closed period next to the cash that really moved through your bank and cash accounts, with the variance and how accurate the forecast was — measured on standard bank & cash accounts, so it works on any Odoo.
- Outflows from real payables — open vendor bills bucketed by due date, plus your recurring fixed costs (payroll, rent) per period.
- Planned commitments — payroll, social contributions, VAT, loan instalments or dividends that move cash before any invoice exists. One-off or repeating monthly, quarterly or yearly; every occurrence inside the horizon is projected, inflow or outflow.
- Disputed and late invoices — leave a document out of the forecast or expect it on another date, with the reason, straight from the period drill-down. The invoice and your ledger stay untouched, the change is tracked in its chatter, and every adjusted document is listed apart and reversible in one click. The same fields sit on the invoice itself (Other Info), and a filter in your invoice list shows every document adjusted in the forecast.
- A curve that does not lie — the projected-cash chart can start at zero, at your safety buffer or at a figure you choose, instead of zooming on the band your cash happens to move in. A week that dips below that floor is still drawn in full.
- Branches and several companies — one consolidated cash position over every company active in your company switcher, each keeping its own settings and bank balances, and every line of the drill-down naming its company.
- Scenarios — optimistic, base and pessimistic collection assumptions, all three cash curves at once.
- Per-period drill-down — every invoice and bill driving each week or month, overdue ones included, with the closing balance. The whole list, not the top few.
- Treasury KPIs — cash on hand, expected inflows and outflows, net cash flow, lowest projected cash and the heaviest outflow period.
- Live interactive cockpit — switch scenarios, drill into periods and read the curve; not a static report.
- AI analysis (optional) — Anthropic Claude or OpenAI, your own key; a short treasury read and next action, in your language.
- Works on any Odoo — computes from standard accounting data (account types, due dates, residual amounts) and normalizes multi-currency to your company currency. No custom setup. Community and Enterprise.
- Multilingual — English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese (BR).
Perfect for business owners, controllers and finance teams that need to anticipate a cash gap before it happens — not discover it when a payment bounces.

Permissions & data security
Built to respect Odoo's access model — audited so nothing leaks between users or companies.
- 🏢 Multi-company isolation. Every record and setting is tagged to its company; a user only ever sees the data of the companies they are allowed into. Cross-company access is impossible — verified.
- 🔑 AI key encrypted & admin-only. Your provider key is stored encrypted at rest (Fernet / AES) — the plaintext is never saved — and is readable or editable only by a system administrator.
- 👤 Role-based access. Dedicated Cash Flow: User (view the cockpit) and Manager (edit the settings) groups. No portal or public exposure; everything computes on your standard data through the app's own service.
- ✅ Secure by design — multi-company isolation; AI key encrypted at rest and admin-only. Audited across the whole suite.
Requires the Accounting/Invoicing app. Works with Odoo Community and Enterprise.
