Project Portal Invited Access Rights

Full Invitation Based Acces Rights management in Project

FUNCTIONALITIES

Manage the access rights of your projects.

Odoo's 'Project' App does not support inviting portal users to see a project without giving full access to all internal users.

This module aims to improve this behavior by adding an access right level, "Invited internal and portal users".

It gives project and task visibility to all invited user, whether they are internal or portal. The module adapts the various access rules and checks to account for this new access right level.

Configure Projects on Odoo

  1. Go to A Project and Settings.
  2. In the "Settings tab, you will have a new option Under "Visibility"
  3. By selecting "Invited Internal and Portal Users", only invited users can see the projects, no matter whether they are internal or portal.

TECHNICALITIES

Record rules

A lot of record rules exist in standard Odoo that check the configuration of the project to determine if an element should be visible to the users

These record rules have been adapted to account for the new Visibility Level.

  1. Timesheets recorded on a project with invited portal access are only visible for users that have access to the project
  2. To-do's recorded on a with invited portal access are only visible for users that have access to the project

We cannot guarantee that the module will function if you modified standard record rules of the project app.
