The "Complementary Contact Data" (Multi-Platform Contact Widget) module supercharges your Odoo Contacts app by allowing you to store an unlimited number of alternative communication channels for any customer or vendor. Built with Odoo's modern OWL framework, this module replaces the standard, bulky tabular view with a sleek, interactive widget right on the Partner form. The module intelligently generates the correct protocol links for each platform. Clicking a WhatsApp link will open WhatsApp Web/App (wa.me), clicking a Skype link opens the Skype chat (skype:), and clicking a phone number triggers a direct call (tel:).

Need to share a client's Zoom link or GitHub profile with a colleague? Just click the handy "Clipboard" icon next to any contact method to instantly copy the URL, complete with a smart success tooltip!
Drag-and-Drop Resequencing
Prioritize how contact methods are displayed! Using intuitive drag-and-drop functionality, you can easily pull a primary contact method (like WhatsApp) to the top of the list, automatically updating its sequence in the backend.
Smart Clutter Control (Show/Hide Toggle)
Don't let too many links ruin your form view. If a customer has more than 5 alternative contact methods, the widget automatically hides the extras and provides a neat "Show All / Hide" dropdown toggle to keep the interface clean.
Locating the Misc Contacts Section
On the main contact form, locate the new "Misc Contacts" field situated just below the standard contact details. Click the "+ add" button to begin adding an alternative contact method for the partner.
Selecting the Platform Type
A creation window will open. Click on the "Type" dropdown menu to choose from a wide variety of supported communication platforms and social networks, such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Zoom, LinkedIn, and more.
Entering the Contact Information
Once the type is selected, fill in the specific link, username, or phone number in the "Contact info" field. You can also provide a brief description in the "Comment" field to easily identify the link before clicking "Save & Close".
Viewing and Managing the Contact List
The saved contact methods will neatly display on the form view alongside their respective platform icons and comments. You can use the inline action buttons to copy, edit, or remove specific entries. If multiple contacts are added, use the "show all" toggle to expand or collapse the list.

Not at all! The module features a smart display limit. By default, it only shows the top 5 contact methods. If there are more, a "Show All" toggle appears, ensuring your contact form remains neat and professional.
Yes! When adding a new contact method, the form view displays smart, platform-specific helper alerts. For example, if you select WhatsApp, it reminds the user to enter the number in an international format without zeroes or brackets.

As long as you are in "Edit" mode (not read-only), you can simply click and hold any contact item in the list and drag it up or down. The backend sequence updates automatically, allowing you to prioritize the customer's preferred communication method at the top.
