Global Reply-To Sender Modifier
The Global Reply-To Sender module is a smart and lightweight automation tool designed to enhance email communication in Odoo. By default, Odoo routes email replies back into its internal system (chatter) using a catch-all email address. However, in many business scenarios, you want your clients to reply directly to the original sender's personal or professional email inbox. This module creates a seamless Automated Action that triggers every time a new email (mail.mail) is generated. It dynamically reads the sender's email address (email_from) and strictly assigns it to the 'Reply-To' header. To ensure full control for the administrator, this feature is installed in an inactive state by default, allowing you to turn it on exactly when your business workflow requires direct sender-to-client email communication.

Whenever Odoo sends an email, this module intercepts it and changes the "Reply-To" address to match the "From" address. This means when a customer clicks "Reply" on their email, the email will go directly to the sender instead of Odoo's system.
No. For safety reasons, the module is installed in a deactivated state. To start using it, you need to go to Settings > Technical > Automated Actions, find "Replace reply-to header", and check the "Active" box.
Yes. Since replies will go directly to the user's personal/business email inbox, those specific replies will bypass Odoo's catch-all and will not automatically appear in the Odoo chatter. It is ideal for direct 1-on-1 communications.
