Create Two BOM Structures: Primary BOM and Child BOM
Here, we set the Executive Office Table as the primary BOM and the Drawer Unit as the child BOM. The table is the finished product, and the drawer is a sub-component required to complete it.
Create Sales Order and Check Stock Availability Status
Create a Sales Order and enter the required quantity. The system will verify if the raw materials for both the primary and child components are available. If sufficient stock exists, it will show as “Available for Sale.”
Check Stock Not Available Status
If the raw materials for the primary or child components are insufficient, the system will show “Not Available for Sale.”
Analyse Stock Shortage for Not Available Status
Click on the “Not Available” status to review the stock details of all primary components. You can compare On-Hand Quantity with Required Quantity to easily analyse the shortage.
Analyse Child Component Stock Shortage
You can also review stock shortages for child components, allowing you to make accurate sales decisions based on available inventory.
