How it Works
The "Custom Chart of Accounts" module in Odoo’s Apps menu, which allows businesses to define and manage their own structured list of financial accounts tailored to their accounting needs. The "Global Chart of Accounts" option in Odoo’s menu, providing access to a unified list of accounts used for managing and standardizing financial records across multiple companies. The "Global Chart of Accounts" page in Odoo, showing a structured list of account codes, names, types, and associated companies used to manage and categorize all financial transactions. The Companies field defines which companies within the Odoo environment can use this account in their accounting operations. Account Code:A unique identifier (100202) that distinguishes this
account in the Chart of Accounts.
Type:Classified under Current Assets, ensuring correct placement in
the balance sheet and cash flow reports.
Account Name:The descriptive title — Bank Suspense Account —
indicating its purpose for temporary or unidentified bank transactions. The Chart of Accounts screen in Odoo, grouped by company. Two highlighted sections — IN Company (82) and OctagoTech (83) — indicate the number of accounts assigned to each company. Filters for active accounts and company selection are also visible at the top.
