POS Restaurant Waiter Management
The POS Restaurant Waiter Management module enhances the Odoo POS Restaurant interface by introducing structured waiter management capabilities. It allows businesses to assign waiters to tables, control modifications through lock mechanisms, and track waiter performance across POS orders. 📝 Workflow
- Go to Employees, open any employee record.
- Enable the “Is POS Waiter” option to mark them as a POS waiter.
- Go to Settings → Point of Sale, set your restaurant POS shop, then click on Floors to assign a default waiter and configure the lock status for each table.
- Open any floor to assign a default waiter and configure the lock status for each table.
- Assign a default waiter to each table and set the lock waiter status as needed.
- Go to Point of Sale settings and navigate to the POS Restaurant Waiter Management section. Enable the feature and select the available restaurant waiters.
- The waiter assigned to a table from the floor configuration is displayed on the floor screen.
- Open a table with a default waiter where the lock waiter option is enabled.
- The waiter name is displayed here and cannot be changed because the waiter is locked.
- Open a table with a default waiter where the lock waiter option is disabled.
- The waiter name is displayed here and can be changed because the waiter is unlocked. Click on the waiter name to open the dialog and select from the available restaurant waiters.
- All available restaurant waiters are displayed in the dialog popup. Click on any waiter to assign them as the current waiter.
- The newly selected waiter from the available restaurant waiters dialog is displayed here.
- Open a table that does not have a default waiter assigned.
- Click on the Select Waiter to open the dialog and select a waiter from the available restaurant waiters.
