Users can toggle between light and dark palette themes directly from the popup header for a more comfortable search experience.
Search far beyond display name by enabling extra fields such as email, phone, customer references, codes, and other useful text values per model.
Use arrow keys to move, Enter to open, and Escape to close without leaving the keyboard.
Results are grouped by model with app-aware icons and badges so users can scan quickly.
Control debounce, cache TTL, and max results per model so search stays fast and manageable as data grows.

Go to Apps in Odoo, search for Advanced Global Search, and click Activate.
Open Settings → Users and assign User or Manager rights under Advanced Global Search.
Configure the engine, max results per model, cache TTL, searchable models, icons, badge colors, and extra search fields.
Click Search in the systray or press Ctrl + Shift + F to open the command palette.
Start typing to search across all configured records from the clean light mode interface.
Toggle the palette theme from the header for a more comfortable search experience.
Type / to browse available app scopes and choose where the search should run.
Selected scopes appear as chips and the results are grouped by module for easy scanning.
Use keywords such as customer name, email, phone, or extra fields to find matching records instantly.
Open the chosen result directly in the related Odoo form view and continue working immediately.
