PO ADVANCE PAYMENT APPROVAL
Extend PO Advance Payment with a full approval workflow for vendor advance payments. Requesters submit advance payment requests from purchase orders; assigned approvers receive activities, review PO details, and approve before payments can be posted. Includes mail activities, status tracking on purchase orders, and formatted approval notes in chatter.
Requires: PO Advance Payment (base module). Enable from Settings -> Companies -> PO Advance Payment -> Approval Flow on Advance Payment, or install this app directly from the Odoo Apps store.
Note: This app extends the PO Advance Payment module, which must be installed first. It provides advance payment registration on purchase orders, company-level journal and payment method defaults, and advance amount threshold control. Get the base module from the Odoo Apps store or PO Advance Payment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the base PO Advance Payment module?
Yes. This module depends on PO Advance Payment and cannot be used without it.
How do I enable the approval workflow?
Install this module and enable Approval Flow on Advance Payment on the company PO Advance Payment tab, or install this app from the Odoo Apps store.
Can the requester post the payment before approval?
No. PO-linked advance payments stay in draft until the assigned approver approves them. Only then can the payment be posted.
Is the advance threshold still applied?
Yes. The company threshold from the base module applies to approval requests as well.
Can I request another advance on the same PO?
After the current approval payment is posted, you can submit a new approval request. The apply button is hidden while a pending or approved draft approval is active.
