Install the Module

Go to the Odoo Apps menu, search for 'Sale Order Version' and click on the Activate button to install the module.

Configure User Access Rights

Navigate to Settings > Users & Companies > Users. Select the user and enable the access rights to allow them to manage versions.

Create Sale Order and show create version button

User can create sales order and click on action button to see 'Create Version'.

Create Version

User can click the 'Create Version' button available on the Sale Order form to take a snapshot of the current state.

Versions Smart Button

User can click 'Versions' smart button to see the created version list.

Created Version

User can see all created versions from the smart button list.

Version Details Form

Open any version record to see the exact state of the order lines and details at that point in time.

Confirm Sale Order

Confirm the sale order to automatically generate a delivery for the current version.

Created Delivery Order

User can see the created delivery order in ready state against the sale order.

Restore Version Button

User can click the 'RESTORE' button from the version form to restore this version back to the original sale order.

Restore Version Confirmation

User can see a confirmation popup when clicking the 'RESTORE' button. Click 'OK' to restore the version or 'Cancel' to close without changes.

Restored Sale Order State

User can see the active version and date updated, a new delivery automatically created, and complete restore activity tracked in the chatter log.

Smart Delivery Handling

User can see the old delivery cancelled and a new delivery created automatically with the updated state after restoring the version.

Print Version Report

User can click the 'Print Version History' button on the sale order form to download a complete PDF report of all versions.

Sale Order History Report

The PDF report clearly summarizes the entire history of the quotation, showing all versions and their differences.

Cancelled Sale Order

User can cancel the sale order. Note that versions cannot be restored on a cancelled order.

Invalid Operation Warning
